I've been working on Rainbow's rig some more this month. I've replaced the wings completely for some new ones which look a whole lot nicer. I've also played around with some renders which hopefully you will enjoy!
The above video was a test of some basic animation and I think it worked quite nicely. With a few extra pictures from the same scene below!

The wings took quite a while to get them looking how I wanted, but they seem to be working quite nicely now. Here's a few quick renders of her just in flight.

I've also been playing with Scenecity and it's various plug ins a tiny bit to give her some different environments to be big in.
And also while these are slightly older renders (In that they happened before the wing change) I've been playing around with some geometry node tutorials to try and understand how those work. They make for great ways of getting a lot of mesh detail down for close up renders that look fun. This does illustrate the difference between the wings though!
I definitely still have a long way to go and a lot to learn, but I am really enjoying the blender learning process. I should probably make some renders of Vapour and Mechamaw now I know a tiny bit more about things too!
Let me know if this is a thing you enjoy seeing. With 3d not being the main focus of my work I'm always a little apprehensive about posting things up particularly when I'm still learning how it all works. What would you like to see more of in it?
