I was born in San Antonio to a huge Mexican family. I'm talking abuelos, tio and tias, cousins and familia twice and third removed. (2nd and 3rd Tios and cousins). A quick visit sometimes becomes an over nighter from just eating, talking and singing. Living in California we would visit my parents alot. My husband wasn't used to this and every time I would start to leave my moms house it took me about 30 minutes to walk to the car. By this time my husband would already have the food containers or whatever random items my mom bought in the trunk, the kids strapped in with car running ready to go. Lol! He's used to it now but it took him a bit.

I'm from downstate Illinois and when it's time to leave someone will slap their thighs and say, "Welp" followed by "We'd better get going," and then everyone stands up and gets ready to leave. It usually takes an additional 20 minutes to actually leave following the putting away of toys, getting all the shoes and coats on, and the hostess giving all the food away ("Sure you won't take some potatoes with you? How bout these rolls?"). Then hugs and good-byes and everyone goes outside, but the host family stays on the porch and waits until all the cars have pulled out of the driveway. Leaving is an event all to itself! Blue (go Cubbies!)๐ฟ

The popcorn is one of the biggest food staples here, as well as the pizza of course. There are so many pizza shops here. Hands down, the best food you'd ever have. I hope you all come to Chicago since Summer and Daniel haven't been. If you need a place to stay, I work for a hotel and I can get you an amazing room with a view of downtown/the Bean, and Grant Park (where Lollapalooza takes place). Shoutout to April for the amazing gifts and glimpse into Chicago. Go Sox! ๐

I had a dream that Santa Claus gifted me that ability the night before and I still remember 17 years later lol. And best food ever! And if I go to Chicago and don't come back with Garrett popcorn then I'm in trouble. I take "orders" before I go. Some like cheddar by itself. And caramel. And some the mix. It is delicious and a great gift to give. But the Best Gift I could give you would be to take you to a downtown Garrett's and have you smell the smell of freshly popped corn in their shop. Then to buy some and it eat Hot and Fresh! I hope you get to experience that someday. I love watching you open gifts. Please. Please. You all have received other BTS T shirts and hats but I've never seen you wear them ever. That I can remember. It would be so appropriate to wear BTS merch on your recording days. So. Asking nicely. Please. Enjoy your Chicago deep dish. I love to order it with just plain cheese and "drink" done that Golden hot stringy cheese. It's the best. You do realize it's made a special way. Special crust. Then the cheese. Then the sauce goes on top. Enjoy! Maybe Door Dash would deliver it?? Daniel, that's a Big No to the Sonic Chicago dog. I know when she says "well I should let you go" on the phone, we still have another 15 minutes to go ๐๐ She usually tells me what color she's dying her hair. It's usually purple, because it's her favorite color. Personally, I like green. ๐ค That ๐ฟ looks delicious though... I should make some.

If you haven't already used them, the Tastes of Chicago gift cards are used to order Chicago goodies online and they are shipped to your house in a dry ice cooled Styrofoam container - I highly recommend the Lou Malnati's deep dish! As for NW Arkansas, I guess I am closer to North Central Arkansas as I am in Mountain Home which is a little more than an hour south of Branson Missouri. Ironically, I am in TX a few times a year for work (I work remotely but travel to Denton, TX when I have to go to the office) and was actually in TX stuck in a hotel for 4 days during the ice storm when you guys watched JK's live when he was drinking beer after beer and having a great time doing karaoke with ARMY. I had also had dinner with friends in the area (we ate at Saltgrass Steakhouse in The Colony, TX) and I saw there was a Portillos location being built there! If you are ever in the area of that location definitely need to try the Italian Beef sandwiches! So GOOD!!! I find it funny that both of the items you opened today are from older ARMY! I am going to be 53 next month & became ARMY in 2018 and the other package was from a 53 year old ARMY who became ARMY in 2017 :) Happy Friday & Jimin day, y'all! BLUE ๐ฟ Love, April
