Gohan was a little different, because he was introduced to live or death situations at an earlier age and he was a little older than they were when he fought cell. And even then he almost let cell destroy everything until goku encouraged him to keep fighting. This situation is much worse so its definitely a gamble.

2024-07-27 19:52:58 +0000 UTCHard to say if SSj3 Goku could have beaten Fat Buu. I think he could have if he had gone all out and beat Buu down some before blowing every piece of him to nothing. But if he dragged his feet and pissed Buu off too much he probably would have ran out of power eventually and lost. This Buu tends to reach into his dark side and get a big power boost when he gets angry enough.
