Marco was a young man living in western Sicily. His father had been a member of the local mafia, but a rival family murdered him when Marco was only a teenager. Marco hoped to follow his father’s footsteps by joining the mob, becoming a hitman, and avenging his death. 

Marco’s mother had other plans, however.

With her connections to the local health clinic, she snuck estrogen and anti-testosterone medicine into his protein drinks (which he consumed religiously). Over the years, his body transformed. At first, he only gained a few pounds, but that was just the beginning. Soon, his face became more feminine, and his body developed female characteristics like thicker thighs, a smaller waist, and larger hips. Eventually, he even grew breasts (which hurt!). 

Alarmed, Marco tried to tell his mother about the changes. “You’re imagining things!” she told him. “Focus on your schoolwork. I’m not paying your college for nothing!”

His life has been one of misery ever since. He has no friends, and he lives alone in an apartment with his cat. His womanly appearance even forces him to speak in a squeaky, high-pitched voice instead of his natural baritone so as not to draw  attention.

Marco doesn’t know it, but his mother’s plan worked perfectly. He’s no longer hitman material. Instead, he’s a marriageable prospect! And lately she’s been pushing her new “daughter” to marry a local boy as soon as possible.

But Marco has no intention of marrying anyone. Although his “mysterious” medical ailment has robbed him of his manhood, he has his own plans to finally gain the respect he deserves. After all, who said a girl can’t be an assassin?

The boys will never see Maria coming…
