He is listed under "Also Starring". * Emily Kinney (Beth) is the only member of the main cast to not appear in this episode. * Robert Kirkman revealed that "a new iconic location that's a big deal from the comics" will be seen in this episode, referring to Fr. Gabriel Stokes' Church. * This episode confirms that Tyreese did not actually kill Martin as he is seen in the end of the episode eating Bob's foot. * There are five bible quotes on display in the church (Romans 6:4, Ezekiel 37:7, Matthew 27:52, Revelation 9:6, Luke 24:5). Most are references to dead returning to life. * "And the tombs broke open. the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life." Why wouldn't you want them to call him Father? He is a priest. I mean most people in the apocalypse wouldn't care, but still. Just an observation of mine but I notice you guys judge priests in apocalyptic type worlds very harshly. The priest in From you guys said wasn't a real priest, and now you're doubting Gabriel. I mean they do say a few cuss words and take a few sips of alcohol, but I don't think that means we can "revoke" their priest status. I mean they're in end times and are under A LOT stress and 'you can die at any moment' situations. Just cause they slip up doesn't mean they aren't children of God.

How did Bob get the nickname Thumb Thumb? Rick wanted to finish Terminus off but Glenn, Maggie, Rosita, & Abraham said no. If Carol had not shown up Rick may have tried to convince them. Maggie said they would run or die. So if the run someone else would be subjected to their mess. She and Glenn should have knocked better anyway having lost Hershel to the Governor rolling up a few months later and the prisoner coming back a causing Lori and T-Dogs deaths.

Yep I think so too, that smoke from Daryl & Beth was also what Carol and Tyreese saw from afar when at the look-at-the-flowers cabin. Brandon & Addison didn't realize that while watching the episode. The show starts playing around with time as it switches from different people in our core group when changing scenes. A cool technique for storytelling, but the director or whomever kind of assumes us watchers know exactly what the time rewinding and stuff is and when it happens and where everyone is in relation to each other etc. That gets worse as the show goes on, imo. I said allll that just to say yes it can be confusing for 1st time viewers to catch onto.

You fellas had me crackling up. This is one of my favorite episode. Seeing Rick coming over that hill looking all bada$$ will never get old. I don't blame Rick because Maggie Glenn Rosita and Abraham said we don't need to because the whole place is on fire. Tyrese told Carol that he had to, she took it to mean he killed Martin after he told her what Martin tried to do to Judith. It doesn't matter how many times I've seen this episode but everytime they cut to Bob stump and Gareth in his face eating his foot I want to throw up lol. Great reaction and lol at the can't go back Bob socks.

The thing is they assumed it was handled by the walkers like theyre in there theyre. trapped , handled so they didnt see a need to go back plus humanity gets tested evey eo often and here was a check to see if theyre on the offensive or defensive side of humanity.going back to just kill ppl arent who they are unless in a situation,but they escaped from it.and thought everyone was gonna get got staying there one way ir the other. We might have lost a team member going back…… What if tyrese thought he killed him i mean look how he was pounding him . …… and bob well we will see why he went out by himself momentarily

Michonne and Daryl would’ve gone back with Rick to finish the job. Those three along with Carol and maybe Abraham could’ve finished them off. I don’t believe the responsibility should only be on Rick, but also he could’ve insisted he, Michonne and Daryl take care of it. Michonne and Daryl will always have Rick’s back.

Agree! TWD Comics is 100x better than the Show. If anyone want to know just read the prison arc in the comic, from what the Prisoner Thomas does to Hershel's daughters all the way to what the Governor does to Michonne and what happened to Lori and Judith after the fall.

A cool detail that you can notice the first of here in this episode is Rick does whistles for different calls. Those are actually the calls that Daryl and Merle use that Merle informs Michonne about when speaking about killing the governor back in season 3 episode 13. Showing that at some point Daryl taught Rick who then taught the group or Daryl taught the group as a whole the calls.

Can't really compare TWD n GOT. The comics are more raw n cutthroat just like I'm sure the books are for GOT. But as for the TV shows, 1 was on AMC n the other was on HBO. HBO had way more leeway to do what they wanted.

Yak right, after what happened with the Governor, Gareth and his gem should’ve been hunted dow. They could’ve had a little small group go back in my opinion, while the rest went back to get settled. I agree with you Addison. I wanted to see what Andrea would’ve become with time as well. Tara wasn’t jealous of Glenn and Maggie, she was feeling guilt. Tara likes women. I’m glad Glenn didn’t tell Maggie cuz it really wasn’t his secret to reveal. Tara did right by telling Maggie cuz it was eating her alive.

How is it illogical? It's pretty easy to glean someones meaning and catch their implications. Gabriel wasn't in a coma like Rick to where the dead need to be explained, he's just shut himself away from them. He knows there's corpses walking around, easy to infer Rick is talking about them when he says Walkers.

No. The Walking Dead is not as cutthroat as Game of Thrones. It has it's moments. past and future where it gets really brutal and heavy to watch, but even then, it's not the same. Almost, but lesser than GoT. One of the most illogical things about this show is the use of the term "walker". Remember when you guys started counting the different names people used to describe them? I thought was going to be a significant part of the show, because it doesn't make sense to me how Pastor Gabriel already knows what Rick is referring to when he asks him "How many walkers have you killed?" This is one of the craziest endings to an episode! Cutting a man's leg off? and they're planning on eating him piece by piece?

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that 47:46. I noticed that when i first watch the series. Started in season 3 when the prisoners were introduced, we lost T-Dawg and then got Big Tiny, Then Tyrese got introduced and we lost Big Tiny, Bob aka thumb thumb joins and then Shumpert dies. Now Father Gaberial is introduced, now bob..... lost a leg....

So far, GOT feels more cutthroat. By this point, we’d already seen things like the Red Wedding, incest, rape etcetera. As unsettling as the idea of eating human flesh is, at least it’s done out of desperation/survival. But being romantically involved with your own sister for pleasure? I’m honestly speechless. 🥴 Still, the ending of this episode makes me feel sick every single time!!!

To be fair, only Rick wanted to go back and take care of the Termites. Abraham, Glenn, Maggie, and Rosita all pushed back on returning to finish them off. Getting reunited with Judith convinced him to move on. But after this, I don't think he'll play anymore. For the record, in an apocalypse, I'm rolling with Brandon. I'll bring my guns & ammo and make my way to Tennessee from Seattle. He's got great survival instincts.
