Also, for the ending my take on it was always that he realized not only is he not necessarily going to be able to get away with it by dying very soon but he also had accepted that he was gonna die soon and as he told Hank, heβs been sleeping just fine since then. So because he might not die for a while now to his cancer that fear of future possibility is beginning to return to Walt a bit and a new one now includes prison because his ultimate goal as he has claimed was to make the money he needed then die soon after.

2025-06-26 19:05:40 +0000 UTCSo I think he punched the thing in the bathroom because the entire episode he was convincing himself he had no time left, and therefore all his actions heβs done would kinda be βjustifiedβ or at least, he wouldnβt be around much longer to deal with the consequences of his actions. Now that he has more time, cooking meth isnβt as justified anymore and I think heβs mad about that.
