Adison don't get a goat, get a GEEP!!! they are so cute. 🐐 +🐑 = 💓 goat mixed with a sheep 😁

Hannah Walker

You think it can work that way with me? The spear thru the throat yes 🤣

UndergroundKing 1990

Exactly! The point Eastman was making was not that you shouldn’t kill because the person you murder doesn’t deserve it, but because YOU don’t deserve to be a killer

Shelly

😊was wondering if you all was going to like this episode 💜 some people love it me personally 👎🏼

jessica cantrell

This is also one my favorite episode. It's such a tragically beautiful story and Morgan is definitely one of my favorite character in the series. There's just so much depth in that character. Morgan DEFINITELY has had the biggest transformation. He literally went from one EXTREME to the other. He went from killing everything and everyone in sight to not killing anything or anyone at all. That's wild...

Ash Lee Can

To be fair, Morgan used to say the same thing the wolf used to say about having to kill people. He even said it to Eastman this very episode and literally tried to do it. He still got better...

Ash Lee Can

I want a pet goat so bad. They are genuinely just unintentionally funny animals. Gost screams alone just sound hilarious lol...

Ash Lee Can

Now y'all see why he can't kill people. I feel.like people forget what Clear Morgan was like. It would be a trigger for him and where he's trying to killing anything and everything moving. We saw him trying to to rob & kill Rick, Carl, & Michonne. Sure he snapped out of it but would you want someone like that around? Where his PTSD can literally turn him against them? I would rather him just not kill if that means sacrificing his sanity and having the Clear Morgan problem on our hands. If he couldn't stay there, I would at least maybe put him in a house or building a few miles out where he's in the postion to be considered safe. That way he could still be part of the community, but everyone else could be in the position where they could feel safe to sleep at night. I wouldn't want him cast out and ostracize him for trying to hold onto to his sanity. He didn't have it for a very long time. He was alone for a very long. He's just trying to survive like everyone else. He just went through some REALLY bad sh-. He didn't get to have the luxury of a community to hold onto and keep him together that allowed not slip as deep as he did into the darkness. Rick could have easily turned into Clear Morgan himself if he didn't have his people. Then Morgan found Eastman who helped put the pieces of a broken man back together, after being shattered for so long, and his PTSD unintentionally got him killed. The closest person we've seen in that dark place to that was Michonne(Rick somewhat after Lori but it last led about two episodes and then he met Michonne right after), but you can absolutely tell that despite the dark place Michonne was lost likely in during her mysterious, hooded figure era after ahe lost her child, she wasn't as deep in as Morgan got. at least for not as long as Morgan did because he was still in it by the time they met for the first time, and she was in a FAR better place than he was. She at least had Andrea and then eventually #TeamPrison/Family. Until he found Eastman, Morgan's basically alone this whole time, except this time he had hope for something better for himself and to find his dear friend. Now here he is...

Ash Lee Can

Adison and Brandon, since this is the most dragging episode of TWD for me 🫣, I had to skip this one. It’s the one episode I just can’t watch a second time. No offense to y’all — I love y’all and left a like. ❤️ I’ll be tuning back in for 6x5!

Tyrademi

I wish Brandon watched stuffed alone sometimes....

Melinda

I wouldn't go that far to say she couldn't be brought to the other side of things...I think the facts the writers (and Carol)were trying to get our focus on was that too many people would've had to die before even a pinprick of light could be seen at the end of that tunnel...Had she not killed Mica, they would've been right there with the group and many of us watching wouldn't have had too much of an issue with the sacrifices that would've been made to keep her and Mica alive because we wouldn't have known just how dangerous she was...Just like Carol, many of us watching knew she was off...But her ability to be active when it was critical made us discount how dangerous to EVERYONE she truly was...Until Mica. Look at the flowers, happened when it did because of the dire straits they were in as a subgroup with an infant and the sudden knowledge that any work on her mental was beyond what Carol or Tyrese could do or had time to. Leaving her there to go get the others was the same as killing her or the next group of people to find her and take her in. But had there been a for sure way to get the group back together and take her along "safely" it would've been done.

Coco Walker

nah fr we all grew up making homemade stuff outdoor diy grilling wit rocks sticks and a metal grate frm my bbq grill . good ol days

NorthhSZN

The point Eastman was trying to make is itself a deflection—he doesn’t really think all life is precious but acting like it is saved HIM. He doesn’t regret killing his family’s murderer because the monster didn’t deserve it, but that it made his own grieving worse and stunted him emotionally. It all goes back to what he said about how humans hurt badly when they hurt other humans. It isn’t good for our mental health to be a killer.

Shelly

💯 The disrepec!

Camillionaire

You put out walking dead every couple of days. Where’s Vikings? If you are not continuing it please let us know.

Remy

Precisely, Creighton Dallas Wilton did what he did to Eastman’s family because he didn’t get his way and he knew what he was doing, but did it anyway because he’s always been that as a person. Whereas someone like Lizzie was simply born with bad brains and did what she did with no true bad intentions but just wanted them to understand her despite her being the one who didn’t understand the way of things. Rick exhibits somebody who was getting more and more sick as life went on for them (which since it’s the apocalypse and they were out there for a very long time and lost a lot before Alexandria it makes sense). While, Morgan was that one super traumatic event as the episode mentions that made him that way. Eastman and his values exhibit somebody from pre apocalypse normal society with base moral values but is willing to kill the dead but shows care to those he has, by giving them official graves while also admitting he is flawed (killing Creighton Dallas Wilton). I also agree with you and I’m willing to go a step further and say this is my favorite episode in the entire series🙏🙏🙏.

Cole hauser

first one imma have to skip…can’t stand this episode

Alec L

I see what you did there ;)

Wolfy! Wolfi! Wolfé!

The son and father were just wandering. I highly doubt they were searching for him.

Wolfy! Wolfi! Wolfé!

I could tell yall really enjoyed this episode. Had me cracking up the whole time. 🤣 And Tabitha really was the GOAT! 😂

Jen M

Adison and his teach him all the way every episode lol. I'm with you guys, this is 1 of my favorite episodes. We got to see how Morgan went from totally clearing to not wanting to kill people. Even tho this man is sitting up here in Michonne and Rick's community talking bout he's going to kill everyone even the kids, Morgan still wants to give him a chance. Not all like is precious, and this wolve person's life definitely isn't. R.I.P. Eastman and Tabitha. Eastman built the fence because Morgan took her room/cell lol. I love the way Eastman took care of Tabitha and now they're together forever. I don't know if you guys heard but that was Rick yelling at the end to open the gate Now. Keep pushing these episodes out Adison and Brandon, you'll are making good stride.

Cleo Griffith

One of my favorite episodes, I love Eastman and Morgan so much ❤️ He means truly evil, as in born that way. Most people who do bad things weren't born that way

Wolfy! Wolfi! Wolfé!

I will join you in the shanking of Scott Gimple for oh so many reasons

Wolfy! Wolfi! Wolfé!

Morgan could’ve just as easily replaced Rick as the main character.

Shelly

That’s probably my favorite phrase. It’s all a cycle and everything gets a return🙏.

Cole hauser

The AUDACITY to show a backstory immediately following Glen's dumpster scene is wild!

Sabrina

When Morgan was ranting and raving "you were supposed to" - I think he meant end his walker wife. He didn't. But he was supposed to.

EliG

Even in the best of circumstances Lizzie's chance of significant improvement were slim. She unfortunately had zero chance in the apocalyptic world and I hate that for her. She had so much potential but too much to overcome to reach it.

Sabrina

I love that that was how Eastmann spent his time - trying to make some decent goat cheese at the end of the world. The little things.

EliG

Personally, I think she had early onset schizophrenia. She would have only gotten worse. Especially in such an unstable environment and no routines. Plus, no medication. Her delusions would have continued to grow. She wasn't evil, just wired differently.

Jess Here

The butterfly effect. Powerful. But sometimes it turns on you. Like Morgan got more people killed - if he had just killed the first 2 Ws he met, all those Alexandria folk would be alive. So how do you weigh that in this "all life is precious" philosophy? Sometimes killing is the way to save good people. In a way, it's a selfish philosophy. It's a short game, but sometimes gotta play the long game. But I love the phrase "Everything gets a return." RIP brother Eastmann. Go join your wife and kids.

EliG

You know it doesn't matter if you found Lizzie a psychiatrist, there's no cure for psychopathy, right? Well, I mean there's one cure... the one Carol used.

KenthalasAT

GOAT cheese is delicious. Try the honey goat cheese from your local grocery store. It’s really tasty on triscuits.

Alyssa Cartwright

I belive the character Eastman who trains Morgan in Akido is a nod to the creator of the ninja turtles Kevin Eastman as he has a very splinter like essence and why he has so much turtle stuff

Crazy Taco

Of all the people he interviewed only 1 of them was truly evil because the others were born with bad brains, got more and more sick as they went through life, or experienced a heavy traumatic event as he said. Creighton Dallas Wilton was the only true evil one because he pretended so he could get his way and for not getting his way he broke out to kill his entire family, then turned himself back in because he was always like that and knew what he was doing. Lizzie would’ve fell under the category of born with bad brains because she just couldn’t understand that walkers are dangerous and they don’t feel anything going as far as to kill her own sister to try and prove her incorrect point. Also, he saved Rick, which wasn’t a pointless act because Rick went on to bring his group all the way to Alexandria where Morgan is now. The rabbits foot actually did help him because when Eastmans daughter gave him it, the next day he found the flyer for aikido which is how he was able to save his own life when being choked to death by Creighton Dallas Wilton during his interview. Soon after Morgan leaves, he finds the path that’ll lead him to Rick. This is easily my favorite episode of the series and it speaks to the butterfly effect.

Cole hauser

I like to call these types of episode filler lol Good for showing us character development but not really important to the story

Fellerz

I’m gonna need yall to post the next one 😅 pleasssee

Sara Tucker

I think Eastman means (by 800+ and 1 evil person) there is only one was inherently evil. The others something happened to them.

Jaci Henley

I need a goo goo cluster now... lol made in TN!

Jaci Henley

this was a good episode after losing glenn. only thing that kept me watching

Hamza

It's amazing watching people binge a show versus watching it when it aired. I find the trauma of episodes doesn't land as hard when bingeing. Having to wait another week to get back to the other characters was awful. My trainer and I were discussing Game of Thrones. He watched all 8 seasons in a week & hated how it ended. He asked me how it felt having invested 8 YEARS into the show. The ending made me feel I wasted too much time since I only allow myself 1 guilty pleasure show per week. This is a long-winded way of saying this episode is well done. But we are 2 episodes after Glenn fell off that dumpster. 5 years of investment into Glenn's character, and we don't know if he's dead dead or zombie dead. Are we going to see a zombie Glenn next week or what?! This episode aired in 2015, and I still feel a way about dumpsters & want to shank Scott Gimple (showrunner) if I ever see him. Now that binge-watching is a thing, I do wonder if show writers keep the binge factor in mind while writing for current shows.

Rindamarie

this will always be one of my favorite eps

Sasha B

If I was Eastman, I’da knocked that wild eyed negro out soon as he stepped on my land. Wouldn’t be no goat, no cage, no soup. I’d lock him in a shed with a Bible, a mop, a banana, and a picture of Ronald Reagan. No aikido, just whoopins, hard work, and bleach. By the end, he’d be sayin “yes sir” and mowin lawns with gratitude.

Uncle Ruckus

Lennie James is up there with TWD’s best actors. He’s incredible.

Shelly

I had that thought once

Rindamarie

Has it ever crossed anyone’s mind that maybe Eastman is Cryton Dallas Wilton? That maybe Wilton saw himself in murderous Clear-Morgan and chose to tell the story, play acting as Eastman while still hiding his evil? That would’ve been a plot twist.

SonjaB29

So the Wolf wasn't actually bitten. It was just an infection from a cut.

CorsonDrax

Just because people skip this episode or don’t like it doesn’t mean that the show has fallen off at this point. It is a jarring come-down after the events of the previous episode, where we want to find out what’s happening with the main group in present time. This isn’t a bad or poorly written episode imo, just poorly placed.

DonnaRose

The most dynamic character is Carol. By far.

Nicky A

6x4 is such a beautifully written episode. Changed my entire perspective on Morgan's philosophy.

CorsonDrax

It's one of the best written episodes of the show.

CorsonDrax

None of these psychiatrists were close-by either. There was 0 way of maintaining her that long.

CorsonDrax

Adison brother. Nobody could keep Lizzie around long enough to find a psychiatrist before she murdered more people. She'd be better off joining The Wolves. She wanted to kill Judith

CorsonDrax

one of favorite episodes btw 👋😁

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

👏👏👏💯

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

All yall TWD super fans talking about “I skipped this episode”😂but then will get on here and say the show doesn’t start to fall off lmfao

Hunchooo

Never forgave Nicholas for getting glenn killed

Guyton

Glenn was a definitive "best of the bunch"

Saturn Metaku

See, everybody judging the heck outta Morgan for not crashing out but he is literally the definition of the opposite of Tupac:"I AM a killer, so don't push me". Truth is this Morgan (same one that Rick,Michonne, and Carl met in his town) Would've been too dangerous. This journey was necessary for him and like I posted in a different comment section, out of everyone between OGsurvival group and Alexandria, his cause and affect is minimal. Rick,Carol, Tyrese, and even Glenn have more cause and affect deaths by way of bad decisions than Morgan...If we're keeping it 💯

Coco Walker

The way my head dipped to the side with annoyance in unison with Adison and Brandon when they realized this episode was a backstory, Morgan’s backstory. 😂 I skipped this episode on the rewatch. I love Morgan always a fan, but “I don’t need to see it” is how I feel about this episode.

SonjaB29

One of my least favorite episodes but watching with the 2 of you made it a lot more fun. Thank you!

Kimberly Weaver

FACTS, glenn is the realest. always has been always will be. his character development was *chefs kiss*👌🏽

courtney

same🥲 not looking forward to watching this one i need 6x5 asap

avery_berko

I skip this episode every time 😩😴

Iris D

exactly. Morgan needs to keep moving and living alone to maintain his philosophy. He won't see the consequences of letting dangerous people live.

Rindamarie

Most people don’t know in barricades, especially during medieval sieges the defenders would rub rotten meat and doodoo on the end of sharpen poles the event that somebody would stab themselves they wouldn’t survive due to the infection they still do this in the middle east with their weapons most soldiers nowadays have to be inoculated for anthrax as a preventative measure in a zombie apocalypse like this, all you would have to do is coat your weapons walker blood just a scratch someone you don’t even have to kill them The bacteria will do the rest

Austin Hogan

Eastmans thought process makes sense when you live alone away from everyone. It doesn’t make sense for Morgan to continue that thought process living with all kinds of people who threaten his life

VenikaDewan

Right on time! Yay!💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾❤️
