I can never, for the life of me, understand how incredibly misunderstood Skyler is. How do a lot of the viewers come to this point with her? Majority of the comments here have already pointed it out, but there's a HUUUGGEEEE difference between Walt and Ted Beneke. They're both criminals, but Walter is the worst one. Plus, Skyler not wanting to do anything with Walt has less to do with him being a meth manufacturer, but more so his lack of respect and honestly towards her and their marriage. You guys have both said it countless time, Walt is a LIAR!!!! He's lied to her, hid a lot from her, gaslit her and made her feel crazy. That alone would drive anyone to the brink of divorce. Skyler isn't perfect, but she's certainly not the villain you guys are making her out to be.

Skylar is helping Ted because she is interested in him. If she wasn't, she would have walked. I agree w/most everything else, as Walt definitely chose this way due to pride and control...but Skylar's reasons for helping are not pure and innocent.

I don’t think it’s fair to call Skylar hypocritical for helping Ted when you compare the full context, especially to what Walt has done. First of all, Ted didn’t have two billionaires offering to bail him out or fix his company’s financial problems like Walt did with his medical treatment. Walt was given not only a generous offer to cover his care but also a high-paying job. He turned it all down, and not because he had no choice, but because of his ego. He couldn’t accept what he saw as “charity,” so instead, he chose to manufacture and sell meth. That decision was about pride and control, not survival. Skylar, on the other hand, is helping Ted with the intent of getting him out of trouble and preventing things from getting worse, not to support or excuse his actions. And Ted made those financial decisions for his company before Skylar ever even worked there. She can’t hold him accountable for something she wasn’t involved in. But now that she is in the picture, it looks as if she is trying to help fix it before it spirals. That’s very different from enabling. Skylar has every reason not to trust Walt. He has lied to her extensively, manipulated her, gaslit her, and put their family in constant danger, all while claiming it’s “for the family.” But Skylar knows the truth: he had options. He chose this life. So when he finally confesses what he’s been doing, why would she hear him out? What could he possibly say that would change anything? If Skylar goes and continues to actively help Ted cook the books or cover up fraud long-term, then I would understand raising the issue of hypocrisy. But from what I saw, it looks more like she’s trying to help him avoid legal disaster and then move on with a clean slate. At the end of the day, Skylar is allowed to feel differently about Ted and Walt because her experiences with them are different.
