If you enjoy The Walking Dead and breaking bad, I definitely feel like you and the community would enjoy watching you guys react to Grey’s Anatomy. Most people would think it is a chick show. At least that’s what I thought when I heard people talking about it. But once I gave it a chance and watched it, I binged Each season until I caught up. It’s a fast pace exciting show to watch and I hope I get to see how you feel about each character one day. Because the way you guys talk about the characters in this show I’m seriously wondering what your opinions would be with Grey’s Anatomy.

Poor Brandon! I don’t know how much more he can take of these folks just bowing down to Negan and not fighting back. These Goofy Lames have our man positively VERKLEMPT! 😂 I will add that I see Dwight’s killing of the runaway as an act of mercy mixed with self preservation. If he let him go or gave him a head shot, Negan would find out somehow and bring it down on Dwight or his wife, Sherry. Shooting him in the back and returning his corpse to work on the fence gave the man death and peace while also keeping D and Sherry from Negan’s wrath. As Adison said, the man had the right idea and he can’t be the only one but a revolution on that scale requires absolute trust in each other, something that Negan continually erodes by pitting his people against each other, unlike Rick’s “It’s us against the world” mentality. I agree with Osafa that, whether or not D’s member is broken, his masculinity is shattered and it’s one and the same. Life in The Sanctuary is a slippery slope and a walk on a tightrope all in one.

I've often thought of Negan as basically something like a tribal or bandit warlord. I do like how the show juxtaposes Good King Ezekiel against Evil King Negan though. It's the difference of doing for your people, or having your people do for you.

I think the problem with just getting rid of Negan, it can't be one person. Like Adison said, you gonna need about 50 of people ready to ride a take him out. But the problem with THAT, all it takes is just for ONE person to foil your plans, and Negan's cleaning house, or st least making SIME examples(his people turning on him would than some people coming at him, especially since in his eyes, he's created a system that has given them a roof over their heads food in their bellies, and keep them protected, so I feel like he would be highly offended and would be see it as a betrayal(or at least TREAT it as such), and would need to make some SEVERE punishments(probably DEATHS and many more maimings). And then you have the fact that at the end of the day, it's all about survival. If robbing someone in an envnornment like this keeps you and your people alive, most people are going to do it. Remember, Negan is EVERYWHERE... And even if you KILL Negan, that doesn't mean that the system that they live under automatically changes. It just means it becomes under new leadership, and based on Simon's chaotic energy, I actually think that's scarier. And you know they say, sometimes it-@ better to deal with the devil you KNOW than what you DON'T know(like Milton said to Andrea about how killing the Governor would just end up putting someone like Martinez in charge, whicb could be even worse because 1) it makes the former leader a martyr, meaning, more people will have a sense of loyalty and fight for them, and 2) someone like Martinez is less calculated and seemingly less competent(at least at his time in Woodbury befor he DID lead his own small community). I have a question. Dwight got in line with Negan because he wanted to save his wife because. Daryl hasn't even so much even KISSED another person on the show ir shown romantic interest in anyone, so he doesn't have any romantic ties to save or have leverage. He's out here isolated, but he's also solo. Do you think if Merle & Daryl had somehow ended up stumbling across Negan group in the beginning in stead of the Atlanta group in the quarry in season 1, do you think that Daryl would have stepped away from The Saviors, or do you think he'd be Dwight on steroids, especially on his positioning to Negan(remember the type of energy Daryl had when we first met him, so imagine the type of energy he would have had rolling and following his brother around, probably been imitating him since he was a child, as part of his natural sense of loyalty, and it took estabikishing a healthier loyal relationship where he felt was respected, for hin to finally break.ouy of that, and even in the end, he never could break it completely, despite how awful his brother was as a person and to him). If Daryl had a girlfriend or wife to be held over him the way Dwight has, do you think he would have gotten in line by now? Idc what anyone says, "Easy Street" is a bop lol. Negan & Dwight would have hated me because I would have been all up in my cell butt naked, dancing like Mary J Blige 😆. And when I wasn't dancing/vibing, I would have been knocked out sleep, if my ADHD would have allowed it because I can honestly tune out noise, almost unnaturally easy, unintentionally too, so I don't think the whole noise torture would even work on me lol. I've fallen asleep to my headphones on full blast in the past of my youth lol. My landlord just got annoyed last weekend because the batteries in my smoke detector had just died that morning and was just beeping away all day while I barely noticed it lol. And it wasn't one of those regular beeps either. It was LOUD and aggressive asf too lol. She came in took the detector, left, and still ain't bring it back a week later lol. Listen, if could tune out a classroom full of about 20-25 4/5 year old children everyday, ESPECIALLY during recessthen this would be a cake walk 😆...

Dwight thought Negan would accept him again.. and he did, but he wanted to kill Sherry as punishment. So then Dwight asked to be killed instead. Thing is Negan's soldiers are pretty like-minded. They don't need a leader who cares about them. They just need the system to 'work.' Negan's methods are keeping them fed, equipping them, etc etc. They don't like him cuz he's nice, they like him because he's effective. Negan's crew is psychologically broken; some may have Stockholm syndrome. The torture song, Easy Street, charted after this episode aired. Daryl Dixon is a warrior. I love his character arc, but hate seeing him tortured. Daryl doesn't have someone Negan can hold over him like Rick and Dwight.

Dwight always liked Daryl. Which is why he jumped up fast during the lineup episode to shoot him with the arrow. He didn't want him to be beat to death but instead to have a quick death. Daryl's realness makes him feel bad about himself so he wants him to be broken, but also because he doesn't want Daryl to die by Negan's hands. Also Adison is right. Dwight just wanted a place for his wife after seeing there was no escape and nowhere to go. He knew the score and was ready to die upon return. Sherry jumped in and saved him with the marriage offer.

I think the most interesting part of this new Arc is how different ideologies of "ruling" effect people. No matter how messed up and evil Negan is, he created a sense of order that the everyday person could embrace. He created a tier system very much like the world is now and uses "fear of death" to police it (compare to jailtime). I think that helped him alot to get people to join him even though it sucked. It was a odd sense of normalcy.

I don't even think it's fear for a lot of Negan's fighters. For the everyday workers definitely, but not the fighters. When I was in basic training I learned a lot about human psychology. In the early days everyone spent most of their time trying to do exactly as told to not be noticed by the drill sergeant. Then the drill sergeant picked four random, previously scared, guys to be element leaders. In a matter of minutes they transformed into belligerent wannabe drill sergeants. All I could do was laugh at how easily and quickly some people can lose themselves. That's what a lot of Negan's men remind me of...

He wouldn't even have had to break Shane, Shane would've just joined him. Because as much as Shane wanted to be seen as a leader, he followed Rick up until he felt that Rick was weak/wanted what Rick had. Shane would've been happy following someone as strong and brutal as Negan.

Yeah Brandon is underestimating how much humans are followers. There is a reason monarchies lasted for CENTURIES, that revolutions RARELY happen when a dictator is in power. Getting the people to break an oppressive system isn't easy in the slightest even with people actively suffering.

The funny thing about Dwight, is that he is actually in the comics and is the original Daryl archetype. Daryl is not in the comic, but they gave him most of Dwight's trait staples.

Dwight couldn't shoot the guy in the head.... he had to tell Negan he was running away.... Dwight took a big risk with Negan to kill this guy.... it was a mercy kill.

Negan's crew is psychologically broken; some may have Stockholm syndrome. The torture song, Easy Street, charted after this episode aired. Daryl Dixon is a warrior. I love his character arc, but hate seeing him tortured. Daryl doesn't have someone Negan can hold over him like Rick and Dwight.

I like the character Negan, but his mannerisms get annoying after a while. He stays over the top and silly. He is not scary at all.
