2025-09-04 23:47:25 +0000 UTCLove this episode! Just to clarify some of your time travel loop theories: Leti was not the original escapee with the book. Remember they said in Ep 2 the original burning of that lodge happened over a century earlier than the events of the show, during the slavery period, and the ancestor of Dora (Tic's mother) that escaped from the lodge with the book originally while it was burning was Hannah, who was enslaved and impregnated by Titus. That's how it came to be in Dora's family and was passed down from generation to generation, ending up with Dora's grandmother who was in the scene with Leti. It was then presumed destroyed when their family was burned in their house during the Tulsa massacre, which were the events of this episode. It was presumed destroyed because the time loop had Leti travel back in time to retrieve it and bring it to the present. So her dream of running through the fire was both a premonition of her time traveling to retrieve the book and a just parallel to the first time the book escaped a house fire, not saying that the original run through fire was her. Dora's family would've died anyway, it's just that her grandmother died with the knowledge that her granddaughter survived and that the book would stay with the family. Also remember this was 1921 and "present" time in the show is the 1950s, 30 years later, and Tic is significantly older than Dee. George hadn't met Hippolyta yet. She's not from Tulsa so they would've met years later after they escaped and resettled. And the woman Tic met with to ask about his mom's family wasn't a relative, she was just a friend of his mom's relative who also survived Tulsa, but had already passed away.

2025-09-04 18:58:05 +0000 UTCFellas, the Tulsa Race Massacre was real. It occurred on May 31-June 1, 1921. There is one living survivor left. The US government has refused for years to pay reparations to the survivors and their descendants. Yes, this part of Tulsa was called Black Wall Street. You can read the recent report released by the US Justice Department on the massacre here: https://www.justice.gov/crt/media/1383756/dl. It appears yall are young (also intelligent), please read up on Black American (US) history. At the very least you may be moved to join the fight for reparations. OAN: have yall heard of the MOVE bombing that occurred in Philly? Read up on that too! Respectfully.
