Coming to Project Horror in September

I'm very excited about September's releases. 

We have some new faces and some new practical fx techniques on show. We have lots of amazing death scenes and some truly badass protagonists.

The Stabbing of Molly Smith

Mob enforcer Molly Smith is on a routine drop when she's stabbed by a rival gang member. She shots him and starts a desperate search for a phone to call for help. Grace makes her Project Horror debut in style in this film which features a great walking wounded segment. 

Blood & Honour: The Snitch

We pick up the Blood & Honour story with corrupt cops having taken some hits in The Safe House and The Raid. The cops bust a low level dealer and lean on her to give up some of the Wallace family's locations. They cut her loose, but the Wallaces know she snitched and dispatch a hot squad to set an example. She puts up a brave fight and takes out a few hitmen before she's surprised and brutally taken down. Another great Project Horror debut (this time from Katie) and another great walking wounded section.

Kelly came by the studio the other night and we messed around with some practical fx. In this film, she plays a thief on the run from a hitman. The hitman corners her and takes her down. We used an compressed air rig for this effect. It's come out pretty good - very much from the Asian school of over-the-top blood spray. Also, Luc, one of our Super Fans, suggested actors hold amount of blood in their hans and splat that against their bodies. It's come out looking good. Both techniques need some finessing but it's a promising start. Kelly's performance is excellent, as always.

Her Blood Runs Red

Amber returns in this film, which was commissioned by a patron. Amber is obsessed with seppuku, so obsessed she wonders what it would feel like. One night, her curiosity gets the better of her. She doesn't quite get it right and has to finish herself off with a second blow. Amber's performance is outstanding and the film features some cool gushing blood fx.

Untitled Stabbing

Our third and final Project Horror debut this month sees Annie play a detective taking part in a wide search of an area. The only thing she finds is the wrong end of a serial killer's knife and she is brutally slain. Annie's performance is ace and I'll definitely be getting her back to do some more. 

Blood & Honour: The Brutal Slaying of Patti Wallace

Using the information they gained in The Snitch, the corrupt cops track down one of the Wallace triplets to a warehouse where she is overseeing the destruction of a bunch of sensitive documents. Neave is amazing in the overkill shooting featuring our favourite colour scheme - red on white.
