We finish September with a film featuring zero digital blood, only practical squibs. The whole film is a test but Kelly's performance is excellent as always so I've just let the scene run.
She plays a cornered thief, who is taught a swift and brutal lesson.
I used compressed air to fire the first two hits. It's come out well, although next time I'm going to use much thicker blood to see if it will come out more "gloopy" and less misty.
The second batch of hits come from small water balloons filled with blood. It was an idea sent in from a patron. It's turned out well. Although I do think it's a secondary effect, so it comes after the main hit - if that makes sense.

The compressed air effect looked really good and agree thicker blood would work even better. The slow mo doesn´t quite work as well for me, just seems unneeded but nothing that spoils things and Kelly´s performance was really good. Look forward to more.
