Hostile Takeover Part 1

I actually shot this film over a year ago and it was before I levelled up my audio game - so apologies if the sound isn't up to par. This was also my first shoot with Phoebe, who delivers a really cool death scene in this overkill shooting film.

Phoebe stars as a local drug kingpin, who's built her small empire through violence and respect. But now the cartel are closing in - they have taken over the other patches in Humber City and Phoebe's is one of the last ones left. 

Phoebe in her office at the club on a conference call with her advisors and some members of the cartel, all of whom try to persuade her to take the deal being offered and avoid the inevitable violence.

Phoebe is proud and cocky and is having none of it and unleashes an angry tirade before hanging up the phone. Little does she know there's a cartel death squad waiting outside her office, pending the outcome of the call. 

As they kick the door in, Phoebe reaches for her gun but the first bullets hit her chest, knocking her back in her chair. Still reeling in shock, the woman is then shot in the belly. She splutters up some blood and clutches her bullet wounds, her red blood turning her white blouse crimson. 

She is defiant and refuses to die sat down so she pulls herself up so she is standing to face her death. She taunts the death squad by gasping "Is that all you got?" The assassins reply with a volley of bullets. The woman is shot, the bullets rip into her body, blood exploding from her belly, stomach, chest, and guts. She is shot many times in slo-mo before collapsing on to her desk, coughing and spluttering. 

Blood flows from her body as she coughs up more blood. She gasps her death rattle before coughing up more blood and slipping away into death.
