Timeline of changes

Hi there. I hope you're all well and set for Christmas (those of you who celebrate it).

As you know, we have some big changes coming up. I did a post explained the changes and the rationale behind each one. You can read it here.

It's a long post, mainly to all the explaining, so I thought I'd do a follow up post, a much shorted post, just setting out the changes and when they are happening and what will be different, how'll you'll be effected etc.

I'm not going to get into the background of the changes as I've done that already - if you have any questions about that, please go read the long post. 

The big change that you need to bear in mind is that you will only be able to download films released within your membership cycle (unless you are on one of the Super Fan Plus tiers).

DEC 24th

On Christmas Eve, the final three films of the year will be released. You can download them via the usual download posts, which will expire at the end of the month. The files will also be available via WeTransfer, which will be emailed out on Christmas Eve.

Please make sure you get the WeTransfer emails, as we'll be using WeTransfer next year to deliver downloads. So make sure WeTransfer emails are being filtered to the right email folder and please make sure the email that is registered with Patreon is correct - because that's the email the downloads will be sent to. Please note: you do not need a WeTransfer account or the app to access your downloads.

DEC 25-JAN 1

I will start promoting January's content during this period. I'll also publish the release schedule, so you know what's being released and when.

DEC 31-JAN 1

I will press the button and make the switch from '1st of the month billing' to 'monthly subscriptions'. 

If your membership is set to renew as normal in January, it will renew as normal on January 1st - and it will keep renewing on the 1st of each month until you cancel your membership.

If you cancel your membership and rejoin at a later date, your renewal date will be the anniversary of when you rejoined.

I will also be raising the price of the super fan tier. If your membership renews on Jan 1st, it will be at the current price. You will start paying the new price when your membership renews on Feb 1st.

Anyone who cancels and then rejoins - or any new members - will pay the new price.

I will also update the "How To Get the Most From Patreon" post, which desperately needs updating anyway.

As discussed previously, I will stop publishing into the Psycho Killer 1.0 and 2.0 tiers. Members will need to either cancel, downgrade, or upgrade their memberships by Dec 31st.

JAN 3

The first content drop of 2025 and the new system. All three strangling films will be released on the same day. Download posts will be posted in the normal way BUT will expire after 24 hours. The files will also be available to download via WeTransfer, with download links arriving in people's inboxes. The links sent via WeTransfer expire after 7 days.

I'll let you know the dates of the shooting and stabbing drops when I've finalised them.

THROUGH JAN

 I'll be promoting content well in advance of its release all through the month. 

I will also be amending access rights to stream archive films in line with the new tier structure. This is a big undertaking so I'll be doing it in spurts through the month.

FEB 1

The new tier structure launches. In a nutshell, there'll be a new $5 tier and a new Super Fan VIP tier. Also they'll be changes to the PLUS tiers and how much each tier can access the archive. For more information about the new tiers, read the long post.
