Baby brother!

Basically she sees someone, she adds them to her harem (which they are happy to join because they’re now royalty/protected). The consorts raise all the kids together, so the kids may reflect an obvious ‘sire’, but regardless they’re all the fathers (they also pursue each other and are happy together). The queen is the star of her own ‘why choose?’ Narrative. All the consorts are chosen for whatever reason the queen sees their use, kallista’s sire is a siren so she chose him for her music, the next was a cyclops carpenter, and so on.
Anyway. Kallista’s family is that of a warmongering society, aka all her siblings are against each other to get the throne. The consorts basically stay out of it with their tails between their legs as the queen has final say (but also stirs the pot and enjoys pitting her children against one another so the future leader is the best of the best). Kallista sleeps with one eye open as the eldest, and is obviously cut throat…. But it’s pretty obvious she’s not as ruthless as she seems. She ‘marooned my baby brother on this island so he can never take the throne! No one will ever find him!’ Aka she’s hiding her sibling so he won’t face harm in the scramble for the throne as he’s big and strong and a ‘threat’. He has no interest and just wanted to build ships so he’s thankful to his ‘tyrannical’ sister for ‘trapping him’ with all the resources he could ever need. He could also just leave.
I’m between making her mother kallista’s biggest op, or one of her siblings? Idk.
