Portia obviously pushes her boobs up to entrap Edwin and call him names even tho he’s a helpless bystander because she wants him to like her 😩 it sorta works, but results in him just not wearing his glasses so he will not be tempted and she remains a blur 😂

I imagine they’re going to renfaire or celebrating one of the many town holidays, Portia is in a 18th century tartan dress, I have to either pick her family tartan or I guess maybe design one for her….. Edwin in a edo period haori-hakama or at least a rendition of what I could find in my research. I really love fashion and want to dedicate more time to studying some non-American centric/eurocentric outfits, in modernity and historical contexts.

Or this is some plot of political intrigue with Edwin and Portia in some court, enemies as kids being reunited as adults where she is like a maid or something, Edwin’s some nobility secretly, and there as a scholar to study or idk. Some historical romance bs plot. Regardless Portia’s trying to get higher up in the world, and Edwin is trying to study some plants. Obvi if you can’t tell, I’ve been watching apothecary diaries and wanna rewatch blue eye samurai, and love historical drama/romance plots. I’m a simple creature. Anyway, Edwin gets fed up with Portia but she’s helpful socially, can read people well and feeds him social information, vs he has a higher status and prob very pragmatically asks for her assistance (or to marry him) since he never plans on marrying, is in love with her, and hates watching her have to suck up/whole to get an offer from a nobleman. Or funnier is if their parents arrange it because it’s a ‘valuable connection’ aka the dads are drinking buddies and wanna hang out more…. lol.
