I think Edwin struggles with still viewing portia as his biggest op so he’s like I CANT LET HER WIN (aka do what she says) because that would mean he’s losing. He’s very stubborn and a bit of a brat, but that’s what makes it fun for Portia because she doesn’t want someone that will fold, and she gets to torture him longer. Eventually he gets some sense (reaches his limit) and finally gives up the pride/control because he can’t wait any longer 😩 obvi it helps that he’s well rewarded for his good behavior and then it’s much less scary and fun. I think both are kinda control freaks in different ways, like Edwin’s very in control of his life (and others technically since he’s usually taking care of his sisters) and has support vs Portia’s life is very out of control, and has very little support. Portia gets to feel in control in the bedroom, while wanting to be taken care of outside it, vs Edwin wants to be taken care of in the bedroom, and very much in control outside it. I think Portia and Edwin’s bossy attitudes ease up a bit once they’re not on edge.
I’ve been using this au to practice paneling because I am not creative with it 🙄 I wouldn’t say I’m creative in this, but at least getting better at organizing/sizing I suppose… I’ll draw smut soon, things have been insane in my life
