Agree to bone ‘for the sake of providing an heir…. No other reason’ or 2. Decide to bone but agree to NOT have kids yet…. Very unlikely given the situation but hey, I think there’s something in there, a denial/humiliation thing with ur wife saying u can smash but she ain’t having ur kid…. What actually happened is they prob have a few months of fun before Portia was almost immediately pregnant and then they both sat around like ‘… I guess that’s That then 🧍♂️’ and sulked that they had fulfilled their duties too quickly…. Only for them to continue on the fun because the jig is up and they just like each other so by the time the baby arrives, it is a boy with parents who are very in love and their time as enemies is over. Edwin prob would confess he was hoping for a girl (Portia obvi wanted a girl) but now Portia has technically fulfilled all her (having a male heir) and they both agree they should have a few more JUST to be safe :3c I imagine they are inseparable and if Edwin ever has to go away from business, he’s clawing at the door until he’s home and SPRINTING to see his wife who is doing just the same.
Portia and edwin both figured on being alone for the duration of their lives so they are very happy together with their lil family. I also think it’d be funny if Portia is like soooo beyond beautiful whenever she’s pregnant and it’s kinda weird but ya know, she glows. Then laments it’s gone when she has the kid.
