Added 2024-08-08 00:25:05 +0000 UTCA crazy storm struck my area on Tuesday. I’ve been lucky in the past to avoid direct hits from tornadoes, as close to a couple blocks over, but this was the first time it’s actually hit. It was an actual insane experience. My neighbor’s tree snapped and hit some power lines and fell on top of this cheap little greenhouse I built a few months ago haha. That burst into flames. Power lines flailing in the wind. 911 was down. For some reason my brain didn’t think that could be possible. So if you didn’t know, 911 has a back up line as well and apparently that was down too. Finally got through to the fire department and they did their thing. It was/is a mess. Luckily that’s all that’s been damaged and everyone is okay. My power has been out for over 24 hours though. My energy company said my area probably won’t get power back until the 10th. Just wanted to give an update because I probably won’t be uploading the next couple days. I hope everyone is safe out there.
