In 2008, both Taylor and Hayley were nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, and they found themselves at Timbaland’s Grammy party that year. At that event, Andrea Swift approached Hayley and said something like: “I’m Taylor Swift’s mom… Taylor doesn’t have a lot of friends her age that do music. I would love to… introduce you guys or get your number.” They have been friends ever since.

Gosh the sad thing with this song is that she wrote it after the VMAs of 2009, but it will be SO relevant for her in 2016, again because of Kanye (and Kim) and the doctored recording 😥 it sounds like it could be on Folklore/Evermore/TTPD and it would fit thematically and sonically.

Paramore opened for Taylor all last summer and it must’ve been comforting for each of them to have their friend nearby during their European adventure. Their vocals blend beautifully. Also, thank you for not liking that messy comment, it was truly an unfounded statement and Hayley wouldn’t have approved of it. I’m loving the Speak Now reactions and I know you’ll love every single era going forward as well! You’ve been analyzing Taylor for enough months now that I think you’re more than just getting into her, I’m pretty sure you’re a swiftie now! 🫶🏻

Their voices mesh SO WELL together and I love how they are still such good freinds to this day. A detail you have missed because you haven't seen the Speak Now tour yet: Hayley wore a purple dress here and had lyrics written on her arm, which is one of Taylor's Speak Now tour looks! So wholesome 💜 And yes as Isabella said, us Europeans were blessed to have Paramore as the opener on the Eras Tour!! Let me just say my inner teenager was having the time of her life at that show!!! 🫶🏻
