You made me laugh ππ Iβm picturing you in Jon Snowβs battle fury taking down others who dare speak ill of Speak Nowβs legacy π it really is a fantastic record.

I do want to get into more Halsey one day. I have a couple reactions. Iβve been holding off on the one where she goes through all the alter egos or eras.

They definitely donβt listen. They hear one line from a song and run with it. When her music is incredibly deep and has many twists. You never really know where itβs going π

Honestly, Speak Now has some of her absolute best songs and it drives me absolutely CRAZY that it often feels like the forgotten child, by both Taylor & the fandom. Speak Now TV got its little 5 minutes of fame, and then it was literally on to the next thing. Itβs not fair. And if I were ever to wage a full-scale, Game- of-Thrones-style war, it would be defending Speak Nowβs legacy and honor. Ugh, anywayβI donβt mean to bring the mood down by complaining. Iβm just VERY passionate about Speak Now βΌοΈβΌοΈβΌοΈβΌοΈππ€£π€£π€£
But seriously, Back to December is an incredible song. And the video enhances it so much!!! Easily one of my top 10 TS songs. π

Your hometown sounds an awful lot like mine lol but I know you're based in the US and I'm in Eastern Canada (tiny little New Brunswick, specifically)π Very woodsy and snowy here. There's a certain beauty to it that I think I'd miss without it. Nothing sparkles quite like freshly fallen snowπ

This is a poignant song and the video gives me the feels. Taylor is so good at connecting to us, her songs immediately take us to similar situations in our own lives.

Another lovely reaction! It means so much to hear you say that Taylor holds herself accountable, because that is one of the big things her haters try to deny, saying all her songs blame other people. Clearly they don't actually listen to her music, cause there are countless songs where she takes responsibility, sometimes even blames herself for things that aren't her fault. This song is just such a beautiful apology. I feel like all of us would love to have a song like this written for us by someone who let us go at some point. Even if it's over and we've moved on. It's nice to know that we were valued and the person regretted losing us.
And thank you for appreciating Taylor's voice. I always say her voice was NEVER bad, it was just young. And as time went on it strengthened and grew. Like her and (hopefully) all of us as people in general. I hate that she had to go through the loss of her music, but it's a silver lining that now we have recordings of so many of these songs with both her youthful and her mature voice, and we can enjoy both guilt free! π
