Walking a Mile In Her Shoes III (YT)

My sister had already gotten dressed before me. Had I taken that long trying to get the latches together? No, she must have rushed on purpose just to make me look bad, or something like that. Mira looks me up and down before telling me I look pretty.

I felt my face heat up as I was embarrassed. I then looked at her and told her to stop being sarcastic, and let’s get to the next part of this so I can win. She seemed disappointed but then shook her head and turned around.

She waves to me, letting me know to follow her, and we end up back at the bathroom. We’ve been here a ton of times; no wonder she takes so long. Not that I was sure I wanted to know, but I asked her what we were doing next.

Mira told me we were going to start with the blow dryer; we’ll get our hair nice and dry, brush it out, maybe style it a bit and use hairspray to make it hold its form. She handed me the hair dryer while she plugged it in.

This part seemed simple, so I turned it on the highest setting and put it right up to my hair. Mira looked over and looked shocked. She snatched the hair dryer from my hand and told me not to be so dumb.

I was confused; I asked her what was wrong. I was drying my hair, and the best way to do that was to use the highest setting and get it as close as possible. She told me that was the wrong way to do it. I roll my eyes and ask her why.

She then informed me it could not only burn the hairs but also damage them permanently by making them extremely brittle and prone to breakage. I gulped. I’m actually glad she said something, as I would have probably caught my head on fire.

Not to mention, I’m not super keen on damaging my hair. I mean, I definitely don’t care about my hair as much as my sister, but I do like it, and I don’t want to lose it. I sighed and asked her how she normally uses it.

Me asking her seemed to put a smile on her face, and she was more than happy to show me how. She had me sit in front of the mirror and she got a step stool so that way she could get above me by a little bit.

She then turned the hair dryer on to medium heat and placed it a bit further away than I did. She then started to move it around. I could feel the hot air flowing over my head and honestly, it felt pretty nice. It was also nice to not have to deal with wet hair for nearly as long.

After about ten minutes, Mira seemed to finish, which didn’t seem like a lot of time. So I pointed that out. Mira made a pouty face and said there was a big difference between our hairs that gave me an unfair advantage at this part.

I was confused about that, but then I looked into the mirror. She was right, my hair was really short; hers was probably three, maybe even four times longer, which means it would take so much longer for her to dry it, right? At least if she wanted to do it safely and properly.

I sigh and tell her that makes sense; as such, we don’t have to count this part. She seemed surprised to hear me say that, but she agreed. She then got down from the step stool and I moved away from the mirror.

I thought I was about to watch her blow-dry her own hair, but instead, she handed the blow-dryer to me and asked me to do her hair. I’ll admit I was a bit nervous when she asked, as she just finished telling me this thing could damage hair.

I asked her if she was sure; I really didn’t want to mess up her hair. She told me it was alright; she trusted me and she’d be watching because of the mirror and tell me if I was getting too close or too far away.

If she was going to watch, then I guess it’s on her, and I did say I’d do everything she’d do, and since she did my hair, it only made sense to do hers, even if we weren’t counting this part anymore. So I take the blow-dryer and get up on the step stool.

I positioned the hair dryer about the same length away from her head as it seemed she’d done with mine and asked if that was good. She nodded and said that should be perfect. I then turned the blow dryer on and set it to medium heat and started to move it around.

I seemed to be doing it well, as the only thing Mira told me to do was pick up some hair and get her underlayers, as she has a lot of hair. I did as she asked and before I knew it, her hair was dry and looking quite nice.

Also, as I had predicted, it took us about thirty minutes to get her hair fully dry, which she actually said was quick for her, as she has a hard time getting certain spots on the back of her head. I sort of understand that, especially since she has so much hair and short arms.

Having completed drying out her hair, Mira takes the blow-dryer and wraps it up before putting it back below the sink where she normally keeps it. While she did that, I tossed the step stool back in the closet since we didn’t need it right now.

When I came back, Mira handed me a bright pink hairbrush and told me to brush my hair out. I looked at it, then noticed she had another in her hand, seemingly so she could brush her hair out at the same time.

Of course the one she was keeping for herself was black and not pink. I look Mira in the eyes and squint my eyes at her. She smiles and asks me what’s wrong; it’s just a hairbrush. She then let out a laugh and handed me the other hairbrush.

She poked fun at me for being a baby, and the two of us started to brush our hair. Despite having so much more hair, she was brushing it out so much quicker than me, and seemingly with a lot less pain.

She noticed me struggling and told me I should work in small bits, starting at the bottom, to get the knots out without ripping all my hair out. She also let me know doing it every day makes it so much easier, and that since I haven’t kept up with it, it was going to take me a bit to get it done.

In general, very few men really care about their hair... And the majority of those who really work on their issues are various mussel persons... Of ordinary men, most do not care about their hair at all until the moment when something unusual begins to happen to them... Although... There are also men who will not even lift a finger even if their hair turns into snakes... And for example, I most likely belong to the middle category and although I do not devote as much time to my hair as I could, I still do not ignore it completely, but my younger brother, since he began to grow a ponytail a few years ago, has become an expert on hair! He even helps his mother dye her hair!
