Deep in the Gelicfo forest existed a small yet powerful coven of witches. Among them was a rather young and talented apprentice witch named Yaritza, who was studying hard for her upcoming trial to become a full witch.
In order to pass that test, she needed to not only display a vast knowledge of the different types of magic and potion crafting, but she also needed to demonstrate she was capable of using that knowledge in front of the head witches.
For the most part that was fine, as she was quite good at most of the categories. The only ones she’s had trouble with were getting a familiar, which just hasn’t happened yet, and transformation curses. Things like turning people into frogs or giving them crazy bad luck.
Wanting to pass her trial, she knew she’d have to work on it. So she took a spellbook on transformation curses from the coven's library and left the woods to find some people to test them out on.
Once she made it to the main road that passes through the forest, Yaritza used a spell to make herself invisible and another to make herself silent so she could cast spells without anyone noticing her and running.
She then had to wait for someone to come by, so she looked over her spellbook for which transformation curse she wanted to use. When the first person came walking by, she went with the classic frog one, but when it hit the person, nothing happened.
She figured she had cast the spell wrong, or perhaps didn’t channel enough mana into it. So she wicked another spell and waited to try it out on the next person. Several failed attempts occurred after that, and Yaritza was getting frustrated.
She wanted to succeed; she needed to, so she picked another one, this time a curse that would turn the person into a Lamia, and then she waited for her next victim, who turned out to be a young male adventurer out on his first quest.
Seeing him walking so confidently through the forest annoyed her, so she decided to tweak the spell a bit. She honestly figured it would fail as well, so instead of simply turning into a lamia version of himself, she tweaked it to turn him into a slim female lamia with big breasts.
She recited the spell and channeled her mana, then she sent it towards her target, hitting him dead on. At first nothing happened, and she thought it failed again, but then the man’s legs gave out and he fell backward.
Seconds later, his pants and armor vanished, and his legs started to fuse together until it was one part. After that, it started to stretch and grow longer. Yaritza let out a gasp as she was amazed that it was working; she had finally successfully cast a transformation curse.
The man's torso started to get thinner, and his face started to get more feminine. His new tail finished growing, and now small scales were appearing all over it. The man was really confused about what was going on with his body.
His shirt and top armor disappeared next, which gave him a good look at his quickly changing body and a front-row seat to watch his breasts begin to form and grow larger and larger, and just as Yaritza jokingly intended, they came out quite huge.
In less than two minutes the young man was no more, and in his place was a super cute lamia girl with brown hair, yellow eyes, pointy ears, a very large chest, and a long reddish tail. Yaritza watched her target, all giddy about what she had done.
The lamia looked shocked at first and frozen in place, but as the shock started to wear off, her face started to get red as she looked herself over. The first thing she inspected was her chest; she seemed quite surprised at having them, nevermind how big they were.
She then ran her hands down her tail, at least the bits she could reach. Strangely, as embarrassed as she was, she didn’t seem angry or panicked about being transformed. Yaritza was a little disappointed by that; she sort of wanted a bigger reaction.
Perhaps even to see them run off screaming, but no, the lamia was just embarrassed. Yaritza was going to leave, but she heard the lamia talking about needing to see herself, and Yaritza wanted to know if she’d freak out once she saw herself.
So she used a bit of magic to make a small pond appear nearby, which the lamia noticed right away but somehow didn’t realize it wasn’t there a moment ago. The lamia sat up and struggled a bit trying to figure out how to slither with her new tail.
Once she figured it out, she began to move quite quickly. Yaritza, still invisible, followed after her, still waiting to see her victim freak out from her work. The lamia got to the water and looked down, which was when Yaritza expected her to scream.
Instead, she just looked at herself and turned slightly. She then smiled and said she was quite cute. She played with her chest a bit more and said they were quite nice. Yaritza was really confused by what she was seeing.
Moments ago this was a normal human male, and she just got turned into a lamia female, and she not only didn’t question it, she seemed to like it. Yaritza put her hand on her head and sighed. She didn’t like that her victim liked this, and she was going to change that if she could.
She removed her spells that made her invisible and silent and confronted the lamia. Yaritza came out laughing as if she had just won. She played herself off as a much eviler witch than she was and laughed at the lamia as she said she was the one who cursed her.
She bragged about how the change was permanent. Yaritza then poked the lamia’s chest and tried to mock her for now being so busty. She then called the lamia pathetic for not even caring that her manhood was gone.
She then put her hand over her mouth and laughed, saying her curse was likely for the best, as this world didn’t need such beta men in it. Yaritza had a few more things planned out to say to try and tease and humiliate her target in order to get her to hate being cursed.
However, the lamia put her hand up and asked if she was done talking. Yaritza stopped talking and, albeit a bit annoyed, said yes as she made a pouty face. The lamia then took Yaritza’s hand and thanked her.
Yaritza was now really confused. Her first time successfully cursing someone, and they were thanking her. Yaritza asked the lamia what was wrong with her; she had just been cursed. She was now a woman and a monster. How was she not mad?
The lamia looked a bit embarrassed but admitted she hated her old body and always felt out of place in it, and she never really knew why, at least not until Yaritza gave her this one. Now, for some reason, she felt comfortable in her body, even with half of it now being part snake.
Yaritza pouted some more as she listened to all the reasons her victim was happy with her curse, all of which annoyed Yaritza more and more until she yelled at the lamia to stop enjoying it; she was cursed, she should be angry, scared, or confused.
The lamia looked sad and apologized to Yaritza for messing it up for her. She then offered to pretend to be scared or upset if it made her feel better. Yaritza pouted some more and said no, that the moment was ruined and she knew the lamia was faking it.
The lamia then asked if there was anything else she could do to make up for it. Yaritza stops pouting and thinks for a moment and then smiles. She said there was actually something the lamia could do.
She told the lamia she could become her familiar and make a magical pact with her. The lamia was confused and asked her why she needed a familiar. Yaritza sighed and explained that making a pact with one connects them and helps boost a witch's powers.
She then said most witches get a familiar quite early into their training, but nothing she tried to connect with wanted her, so she’s been without one all this time. She said that if the lamia agreed, then they could both benefit from her failed attempt at cursing her.
Yaritza would get a familiar who makes her more powerful and would help her be better at all types of magic, including transformation magic, and the lamia would be able to live in her coven with her, which would protect her from humans, who would want to kill her now that she’s a monster.
The lamia didn’t seem to realize how dangerous it was for her to travel around now that she was a lamia, and knowing she couldn’t turn back now because it was permanent, not that she did, she knew Yaritza’s offer was her best bet.
So she agreed to it, and in that moment Yaritza and the lamia made a pact, and the lamia became her familiar. The two returned to Yaritza’s coven and left a lot of the other witches speechless; they were surprised to see she used a transformation curse and then made her victim her familiar.
Yaritza introduced her lamia familiar to the head coven members and even gave her a name.
Araceli, her lamia familiar, and her new friend. After that day the two were inseparable, literally by magic, and Yaritza ended up passing her trials with Araceli’s help.
Once Yaritza was a full witch, she decided to go out in the world on her own and travel the lands studying new types of magic with Araceli by her side, who was as happy as could be enjoying her new life and new body.
