2024-01-12 03:57:35 +0000 UTCSometimes the gas cap can honestly just be tightened if it wasn’t tightened properly as stupid as that sounds if you haven’t tried that but I would definitely just order a gas cap online rather than ordering one at a shop a lot of shops charge about 200% markup on parts

2024-01-12 03:31:42 +0000 UTCCheck engine light on? Jeeps are notorious for having bad seals at the gas cap it’s not a running issue just an emissions issue. Usually can just be fixed by getting a new gas cap but not super important unless you need to get a state inspection or something. As far as the smoke goes make sure you have plenty of coolant and make sure to keep and eye on your temp. If you got any moisture in the engine bay it could have easily been steam and not smoke

2024-01-12 03:27:59 +0000 UTCIt just says somethings up with the gas cap and I think I saw some smoke coming out the engine but I might be tripping because it was dark and raining hard. Either way I’m gonna try taking it back to the shop tmr because this wasn’t an issue until today
