She was curious if I could give a run down of how I do my pregnant Bellies, Tbh I wanted to show how I had been doing so, because it’s a weird way I’ve made it easier on myself. ( To explain, I will usually take photos of watermelons we have around the house or google and photoshop them onto the bellies in the places I need them….. which is a funny way of doing so I understand. How I learned years ago, and gave just loved it ever since)
Being serious for a second though, I am a very anatomy oriented person, years growing up with my mom in a vet clinic, along with art classes through the ages have taught me one thing. My teacher were always onto something when they said references were key.
When I was designing Felicia I designed with in mind that I wanted her to have a pear shape. I decided to use horse anatomy as a base for her along with the pear shape in mind, and got her form. When it comes to adding pregnant Bellies though, that can be a bit tricky. Snake, Lizards, Big Cats, and some other species are what I normally use when thinking about pregnancies.
Keep in mind, as much as I love Felicia’s breasts they are something that come in with Nature. Usually while pregnant or going through ovulation is when they are noticeable bigger and sensitive.
Her belly shape doesn’t get to much noticeably bigger until the last trimester being the chubby momma she is. Which isn’t a bad thing, seeing as with her form when being pregnant and chubby. I definitely base off of human pregnancies, usually from chubbies woman, which truly makes the most beautiful result truly!
I would love to answer any questions regarding this as well anything within my art style. I honestly would love to dive more into this subject being able to record a physical video showing the exact process. Right now, please feel free to ask, and I am more then willing to try and help with somethings! Pardon, I’m not the greatest at explaining things, but I am more then willing to draw how I try to make things work! 💕
