I've seen a little bit of confusion about my recent post on animations and what the future of them will actually look like, so I want to shed some light on that. I definitely could have explained things better, so here goes:

I'm not quitting 3D animations. I'm trying to find ways to cut down time between animations. Some of the improvements I made to more recent animations (lip syncing, story, etc) didn't really make much of a splash. And then the longer something is, the easier it becomes for something to go wrong and delay it.

I very much appreciate that there are those of you who are reading this who have stuck around regardless of release time; it really means a lot to me! But the biggest problem that's come up, to put it simply: It's not sustainable to take months on animations, when most (animation) subscribers only show up around release time and then leave again (which makes sense and I don't blame them.) Attempting to do nothing but long animations has made the problem much worse over the past year+ and I have to change things up somehow. I'm not happy about it, but the best thing I can do is try a new angle.

I'm going to try again with animations that are shorter and take less time, and maybe also some different art styles. I won't rule out going back to bigger projects, but they will be in smaller chunks if and when I do. I'm thinking I want to have something finished every 2-3 months. It's just back to experimenting right now.
