What took forever is finally done! X,D

I meant to write just a short text… and it turned into half a novel. I just can’t keep things brief, OTL. But I don’t think you’ll mind, right? XD

You’ll find both the image and the text on the webcomic page and in the MAUScloud — I can’t upload either of them here, unfortunately. Even though it’s really just two stubborn, grown men making somewhat questionable decisions. XD But, you know… in this day and age, everything can be twisted against you. V-V/)

Then came the translation drama. I’m not particularly good at English. I could translate it all manually, but it would take forever (and I really need to finish my comic pages), and the result would probably sound a bit clunky and embarrassing. XD

So, as I mentioned in the chat, I wanted to use ChatGPT to help me — but ChatGPT didn’t want to. XD Apparently, my text was too suggestive! But there was a workaround: use DeepL for a rough translation, then let ChatGPT polish it. 🙈 Eyyy, I swear, my heart bled thinking about how many resources were wasted just because the developers at ChatGPT have such a stick up their ass. :( So in the end, it went through THREE rounds: one by DeepL, one by ChatGPT, and one by me, because a machine is still a machine, and you could tell in some places. XD

Anyway, the final version turned out quite okay, I think! :3 But just a heads-up — if you’re not into heavier stuff, maybe skip this one. 😅 I know my characters; I know how Derek works, how he feels, and how he handles things. He’s a VERY tough cookie. So you can read it without worrying about his fictional psyche — he can take it! XD

Now I really have to get back to drawing the comic. AAAAH!!!

EIGENTLICH wollte ich nur einen kurzen Text schreiben… es ist ein halber Roman geworden. Ich kann mich einfach nicht kurz halten OTL. Aber ich glaub, ihr habt da nix dagegen, oder? XD

Bild + Text findet ihr auf der Webcomic-Seite und in der MAUScloud, da ich beides hier leider nicht hochladen kann. Auch wenn im Grunde nur zwei sturköpfige, erwachsene Männer teilweise dumme Entscheidungen treffen. XD Aber in this day and age… kann einem alles negativ ausgelegt werden. V-V/)

Naja, und dann hat das Übersetzungsdrama angefangen. Ich bin nicht besonders gut in Englisch. Es ginge schon, das Ganze manuell zu übersetzen, aber erstens würde das EWIG dauern (und ich muss dringend meine Comicseiten fertig kriegen) und zweitens wäre das Ergebnis wahrscheinlich ein bisschen clunky und peinlich. XD

Jedenfalls wollte ich – wie schon im Chat erwähnt – ChatGPT bemühen. ChatGPT wollte aber nicht. XD ChatGPT fand meinen Text zu anzüglich! Es gab aber einen Workaround: DeepL für eine grobe Übersetzung nutzen und den Feinschliff dann ChatGPT überlassen. 🙈 Eyyy, I swear, mein Herz hat geblutet bei der Vorstellung, wie viele Ressourcen unnötig verschwendet werden, nur weil die Macher von ChatGPT nen Stock im Arsch haben? :( Also gab’s am Ende DREI Durchgänge: einmal von DeepL, dann von ChatGPT und dann nochmal von MIR, denn eine Maschine ist immer noch eine Maschine – und an manchen Stellen hat man das gemerkt. XD

Das Endergebnis ist aber ganz okay geworden, denk ich. :3 Aber Achtung: Wenn ihr nicht so auf härteren stuff steht, lasst lieber die Finger davon. 😅 Ich kenn ja meine Figuren. Ich weiß, wie Derek funktioniert, wie er das empfindet und damit umgeht. He’s a VERY tough cookie. Also, ihr könnt das bedenkenlos lesen und müsst euch keine Sorgen um seine virtuelle Psyche machen. XD Der kann sowas ab! Also – viel Spaß beim Lesen! :3

Falls ihr keinen Zugriff mehr auf die Passwörter oder die Seiten habt, schreibt mir kurz eine PN und ich schick euch eine Mail. Ihr braucht euch auch nicht zu entschuldigen – es ist mein Job, euch zu unterstützen. Das ist das Mindeste, was ich für euren großzügigen Support tun kann! <3
