Added 2019-03-15 08:33:08 +0000 UTCI'm editing this while I watch episodes of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl, which happens to be the series they're streaming on Twitch right now and let me tell you these new voice actors suck. I'm not saying this out a place of nostalgia or anything like that, these performances are just way worse than the original dub cast. Everything comes off as cheesy, and a lot of voices don't match the character. Brock just sounds like a bad impersonation of the original Brock, and James absolutely lost all of his charm and character. Look, I get it, business is business and changes like this happen. But shit man, I just can't get into watching this series the way I used to because of how forced so many lines of dialogue feel. Also Team Rocket's new mottos are always really, really bad. Not nearly as fun and clever as the original.
Oh anyway this bonus episode we talk about weird pets and sovereign nations and dying in unique ways and whatever, enjoy.

I don't know why I started watching again, but I really enjoyed it. Just in case you wanted to check it out, if you haven't already.

2019-03-15 19:34:34 +0000 UTCThat's why you should probably watch the subbed version with the OG Japanese cast. They've had the same voice actors for every character in every season for over 20 years. They pretty much only change the Japanese voice actors when they die, like with Professor Oak.
