December Extra Chapter
Added 2021-11-02 04:07:51 +0000 UTCHere's the poll for the December extra chapter! One vote per patron, it will close on the 9th.
Tomb
A look at the drow general that became Mighty Rumena, from the last days of the Empire Ever Dark to the moment it earned its famous epithet.
Scriven
A look at Eudokia as a young girl and what drove her to become the Scribe - and eventually make Assassin.
Carnival (I/II)
Evil spreads across the city of Tenerife, and five heroes come to fight it. Set during the Great War, multiple POVs (including Grey Pilgrim and Saint of Swords).
If this one is picked, I will continue the story until it is done, the next poll will be a preview of the upcoming choices instead.

Will we ever get a dwarven interleud?

2021-11-23 16:42:37 +0000 UTCGenuinely hope we can get all three (four) of these before the story ends, but who knows what other surprises EE might suggest in the coming months... If any of the past Dread Emperors we know and love get an interlude, it'll probably have a 95% vote in its favor. (or even multiple of them together! Imagine the contrast - Benevolent followed by Traitorous, then Irritant by Triumphant...)
2021-11-19 15:47:41 +0000 UTCCan we all agree to vote Carnival before it disappears for good
2021-11-09 12:29:05 +0000 UTCScribe for the win! We need to know more about Eudokia. The Tomb-Maker is just an old monster. We already know his motivations. His exploits, while probably great, won T reveal more about the story. Eudokia s motivations, on the other hand, will reveal a lot about the Calamities... and the balance of power in Black and Malicia s Dread Empire.
2021-11-05 00:31:45 +0000 UTCDo you think he was? I was under the impression that he was participating in the ruse so that Scribe might remain an easily underestimated figure/ give more reputation Ali weight to Assassin
2021-11-03 04:07:50 +0000 UTCThis is the first time the chapter I want isn't going to win. The Drow are borrrrring. (Sorry EE, you're still amazing).

2021-11-03 00:27:19 +0000 UTCAgreed. Tomb is my first choice, but I'm casting a vote for Scriven because it's definitely a chapter I want to see and Tomb is all but guaranteed to win (especially wince we're Firstborning in the main story right now).
2021-11-02 19:17:09 +0000 UTCScriven would an interesting chapter that would be a good win in any other month. Next month, though? RUMENA RUMENA RUMENA

2021-11-02 13:30:47 +0000 UTCBoth Tomb and Scriven promise to fill in some significant and interesting bits of backstory/worldbuilding, and I'd be happy to see either. In comparison, Carnival looks like more 'heroes being heroes'; we arguably see enough of that already in the main storyline, and it doesn't give as much scope for the distinctness of this setting to show through. Matthew Wells makes a good point about the potential relative prospects for those two chapters to be given another run-out next time if they fall short this time, and Tomb is currently leading handsomely, so my vote's going to Scriven - if only to make it a stronger second place, and encourage the author to keep it on the list for December!

2021-11-02 10:36:02 +0000 UTCI was so torn between carnival and Tomb, if just because I enjoy the mystery that is the Tomb Maker

2021-11-02 08:59:41 +0000 UTCScriven seems like a very interesting option for a character and name we know very little about. And yet. RUMENA RUMENA RUMENA—

2021-11-02 05:49:13 +0000 UTCI'd like to see Scriven, on the grounds that Tomb is much more likely to still be an option next month, and we might get an answer as to why Amadeus seemed so ignorant of Assassin's true nature and history.
