As for recent building collapses inside the US, collapses are frequent during Hurricanes and many occurred during the LA earthquakes. 9/11 is also a very prominent building collapse that killed more US citizens than ALL of airplane crashes combined. And while yes an airliner causes 9/11, there were thousands of more that perished simply for being in the building.
