Guys remember the Salem witch trials? Or witch hunts in general? Yeah some where just regular women but some did practice witchcraft. It's not a new religion it's as old as the colonial America days. So if some people say they were born into witchcraft they could be referring to long lineage from that point or even later. I think witchcraft is bullshit but lets give it some credit that some form of this belief still survived.

I’ll give a zany religion suggestion: Aluk To Dolo, practiced by the Torajans of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. In Episode 169 you discussed making funerals less boring and depressing; well in this religion you let the deceased hang around for a few months (or years) at your house while you save up money to throw a giant celebratory funeral and feast. Even after eventually tucking them away in a coffin, you still bring out your family members’ bodies every year or so to clean and redress them, and just spend time together in general taking pictures or going for walks. You get to party and hang out with your friends and family forever! Obviously this is a super simplified description (and probably difficult to practice outside Indonesia), but still interesting nonetheless.
