I agree with most of this point besides the Black and White part. The player isn't really a chosen one since meeting N and receiving the black/white orb is pretty much pure happenstance. It's also one of the only games in the series where the entire league shows up when the bad shit starts happening. Also N being a 'chosen one' is kind of justified on account of him actually having superhuman powers (talking to Pokemon) and even then you later find out that Ghetsis was basically just grooming him for the role so he could be a grade A dickhead behind the scenes.

I’ve worked at the airport for 5 years and the security is a complete joke. I was working while that employee stole a plane in Seattle and there was literally no announcement. People were calling me asking if I was ok and the stores that were facing the windows of the incident were told to stay open and continue working. After it happened there was literally ZERO change to the security at the airport and everyone just acted like nothing happened. You can get a job and a badge to access the planes so fucking easy and there is no one watching what you do once your past TSA

I like that Andrew dosent act like you weren’t the chosen one when you were chosen to use the orb to confront either Groudon or kyogre. Or the other philosophy fulfilled story’s of like being chose by the lake trio and helped to confront Giratina because you are the only one capable of it somehow. The manufacturers make the money off the printers but retailers sell them at a loss. I was a sales manager at a retail chain and the printers when sold at full price are usually between $40-$60 at a loss I found.

If I remember correctly the rival is only a dick in the first 2 gens so that makes less sense. Also they were never challenging because losing a pokemon battle means nothing. I did hate when you were down to a pokemon so you would lose to the rival and have to do the route or cave over again. That’s just tedious.

Yeah Kaya has a point the game is literally aimed at children. Andrew complains about the rival but in the context of they're making the game thinking of children it makes sense why the rivals aren't dicks anymore
