That’s exactly what I did in high school too, keep up the good work, but don’t burn yourself out too much. If that happens it’s tough to get back into it. There’s tons of people once they graduate that get too stressed and end up getting depressed and don’t do anything for years

also i know the boys are prob done reading the comments for this ep but im coming back to say i don't agree with andrew's criticism about the game not being fair. i mean he is right that the game is not fair. but i think the point of the game was to make the players believe it was fair and that it wasn't something the front man really believed himself. the more the players believe it is fair the more likely they are to keep playing the game and believe they can get the money. when in reality you must likely aren't going to survive and get the money no matter how hard you work. everyone dies one person gets the money, the very endgoal of the very game isn't fair even if the players may think they had a chance. i think the writers made it contradictory like that on purpose

i can see why media like parasite and squid game have been blowing up in america lately due to the relatability. most americans live paycheck to paycheck and there's a lot of people that work 3 jobs and still can't escape poverty so shows like this really speak to them. the first half of squid game was a perfect metaphor for that. makes a minimum wage worker like me wish the second half was just as good

Andrew i do think you should watch korra. Even if you don't enjoy it as much as ATLA. It doesn't detract from the original you won't like ATLA less for having watched korra, they are connected but very much separate from each other

I liked that the games in Squid Game weren’t straight up torture. No hopscotch over broken glass or monkey bars with razor blades, just simple games and if you lose you die.

Andrew, if you watch the tug of war episode again, you will notice that the old man is the only one not chained to the rope. In the episode where he ''pees'' himself, he has the bottle of water next to him that he got from the girl, implying he used the water on his crotch. The only time he could've died really was during the brawl episode when people killed each other.
