I am a film student and when a prop gun is on-set the AD and/or the weapons master opens the clip and the chamber to show no bullet or blank round before the shoot. They do this every time they film a specific scene, even if two scenes are right after each other, if a prop gun is being used they bring every precaution. But that set with Alec Baldwin, they didn’t do that, nor did they even check once. Completely irresponsible, and the crew has some of that blood on their hands as well, they saw the cold weapons discharge on-set before that accident and said nothing. They should’ve reported it immediately but they didn’t because they didn’t want to get fired and someone was killed because of it. The whole situation is shitty and it’s that whole set’s fault for the tragedy.
