I would love charlie to explain why he very much disliked part 4. Part 4 is the best part with one of the coolest villains in anime being yoshikage kira. Im on my 3rd watchrough of part 4

2022-06-05 03:01:26 +0000 UTCa hundred percent agree. indies have been showing how amazing they really are, and its a shame that while there are numerous examples of indie games becoming huge phenomenon (cuphead, shovel knight, stardew valley, etc) its a shame the majority of them dont sell nearly as much as the triple a stuff when they have infinitely more love put into most of the biggest games nowadays.

2022-02-18 17:53:39 +0000 UTCThere is an issue with Andrew’s 100 movies to 1 argument, and that is a 100 million dollar movie has the potential to make so so so much fucking more money. Yeah, maybe 10 of those 1 million dollar movies make 50 million back, but 1 100 million dollar movie can end up making billions (including merch, etc) When dealing with numbers this big, the absolute absurdity of billions of dollars just completely overshadows the reasonable profitability of anything smaller. Plus, big releases strengthen a company’s hold on the market, many people will watch justice league over a small indie super hero movie, wayyyy less will watch justice league over the avengers. It is purely a business decision to make bigger movies.

I feel like we are entering (or entered) a golden age for indie games. Every month we have a new indie game become instantly beloved masterpieces. Risk of Rain 2, Deep Rock Galactic, Hades, Outer Wilds. We are still getting pieces of art cradted with passion, we are just changing the source.
