Bonus #100 - Destiny The Witch Queen Track 10

In this bonus episode, we talk about video game music and Charlie makes the argument that music in video games is suffering.

(Also I think I said Track 09 in the episode, but I meant Track 10)

-Jackson

Persona 5 has the best soundtrack in gaming imo i blast it often while coming home from work and at work

Copycat

Destiny copium...theme song is a song that you can hear and just associate with the ip it doesn't even have to be a vocal or instrumental. Something that you can hear and it just clicks but you can also enjoy it without the context of the ip. Persona games are a great example because it's the main reason why alot of people got into the games without really knowing about the ip. Guilty gear strive was also good if you like that genre. Some game instrumentals are amazing to listen to like molgera's theme from wind waker but others outside of the game you might not really think about like the BOTW general overworld theme which is just general background music.

Expression

This refers to Jackson calling the destiny sound track memorable: of course you’d recognize destiny music if you spent 1000 hours on it. But nobody who doesn’t play the game would ever be able to tell you what game that music comes from. But something like halos main theme? Most regular people could recognize it insanity

Calvin Baker

Every James Bond movie has a theme song

James Cleary

FFXIV ost is amazing. Theres even a band that consists of the dev team called the Primals that regularly perform concerts

I mean track 31 is arguably the best boss music in recent dlc

Two bumbling buffoons get confused about score vs soundtrack. Good episode.
