Andrew or anyone else on here who has a Steam deck would you please do my a favor? Look through the settings for accessibility functions for gamers with disabilities. Specifically function that help visually impaired gamers such as zoom / magnification and text to speech, night mode / inverted colors / high contrast. PS5 took off their zoom feature. I absolutely LOVE my Switch because it has zoom and night mode and I can also hold the screen as close as I need. If Switch has text to speech, Nintendo would be a god. Text to speech and night mode has existed for a lot longer than the sighted population thinks. These features were originally created for the visually impaired community. When products and features go mainstream it makes those things cheaper and easier to obtain such as production. For example, a scientific calculator that someone would use in algebra and statistics will cost around )30. If you were to purchase the exact same brand (Texas Instrument) with the capability to talk, the price would be between $600 and $800. At the moment there isn’t even a calculator for statistics anyone. The one I used until it broke has been discontinued and no longer has tech support. There were bugs in the software that scrambles at some point which takes away the speech capability. I apologize for the mini novel. This is a topic that would benefit from support by the sighted / general public. Thank you if you made it this far. I didn’t mean for this comment to get so long.
