Episode #321 - Flight Risk

The movie starring Gerard Butler, not the regular aircraft topic. I'll come up with a better name at some point (very tired rn).

As a parent of a 2 and a 1/2 year old boy I'm glad I don't raise my child that way.

Kaya complaining about kids watching a IPad on a train but if they wasn’t they would be running in circles jumping and he would have hated life. I don’t see anything wrong with kids watching YouTube IN MODERATION and yes it is a baby sitter no one here is a parent and you all have no idea how parenting goes. Before I had kids I said these things like I would never …. Then you fine out real fast the real world is different. Tablets shouldn’t raise your kids. But partners need all the help they can get especially our generation where my kid’s grandparents don’t help like my grandparents did. I can understand what you guys are saying but the world is mostly grey it’s not black and white.

Lmfao ok bud the government never lies your right

Andrew doesn’t think the CIA killed JFK?

I think it’s funny that people don’t realize their natural biases based on their generation. Like Jackson mentioning him watching SpongeBob was better content which of course I agree, but there was still that very large crowd of parents that didn’t understand and were saying it’s brainwashing your kids and making them stupid. Just as our generation now says about coco melon and shit. We’re just the old ones now shaking our first in the air at the children lmao.

Even tho I don't really like last of us 2 I feel like the other 3s reasons for why it's bad were kinda weak

In my opinion, the whole take where you don’t want to understand why Abby killed Joel is not a good one. I too did not love the first hour or two playing as Abby but the game is written with the point that everyone is human, Although they could be heroes in their own story or own life they could be the definition of a horrible person or villain to the otherside, It does alot to show the human side of the characters. Each with their own lives and own views of who is right or wrong. Joel was someone who would do anything for Ellie and himself, but in that he was extremely selfish and took out large numbers of people to “protect” Ellie. If you look at the plot in the grand scale of humanity Joel is the real evil, He stopped a cure from being made and took out an entire hospital of doctors working to fix the world. I’ve never understood the complaints about the narrative unless it was someone who lost patience with the game due to some of the pacing towards the middle/end. Overall way better than the public and internet perception of it, I think honestly due to the fact that Joels death leaked weeks prior to the release date.

Recently got a PS5 just to play lou1/2 for the first time. Guessing I’m the only one that enjoyed playing Abby more than Elly. All Elly does in that game is be sad and go looking for people and failing. Abbys story was way more interesting and expanded on the universe greatly compared to Elly’s. It’s a very good game regardless (I actually preferred it game play wise compared to lou1) but I do think the story’s structure is pretty poor

Narrator:"he did not come up with a different name"

Everyone tunnel-visioned on the last of us, has anyone noticed the past couple episodes haven’t had their descriptions updated? Or is this a patreon problem?

Pretty huge agree with Andrew and Charlie's take on TLoU 2, though I'm not sure changing the pace would fix all that much with the narrative. The game was very much written in a way to try to vilify Ellie and make you like Abby, but didn't succeed at either. To me, it all just felt forced, like the game was telling how I should feel rather than naturally lead me there. Having me kill dogs and pregnant women were just cheap attempts to shock since I had zero choice in the matter. The way it all wraps up just felt so hollow too, since I didn't like Abby enough to care if she lives and then felt cheated that Ellie illogically decided to spare her. What's to stop Abby from killing Ellie now to avenge her friends? The game is far from bad, but man do I wish the fanboys would acknowledge its narrative has a lot of issues.
