Me again. Wanted to pop in and say that I really appreciated all of the fantastic feedback (positive and constructive feedback in general). Overall, there were a lot of things I picked up on that you guys want a tad more of that I'm going to start trying to incorporate into our episodes.
- Some (not a lot of) Segments (formally known as Corners) to incorporate a bit of structure
- More Guest Episodes
- Less "Current Topics / Repeated Topics"
- More Patreon Interaction (Hey, that's this!)
- Patreon QnA Episodes (Speaking of which...)
These were the main ones I picked up on that were within "our" power of working on (some things like Charlie needing to leave for meetings and Charlie's general energy aren't completely within my power to fix -- but I hear you), and I do plan on working on them and posting a monthly vibe check to gauge how you're all feeling about our series and about the value our Patreon can provide for you. This wasn't really a reactive act, as last month was our best month ever on Patreon, but a proactive act to ensure that we're doing the absolute best we can in this next stage of the show's lifecycle.
On the last point, I'm going to inject some Patreon questions into bonus episodes in the future. This is something we've done in the past frequently (in the first few years of the podcast), but we stopped due to the saminess of the content. I believe there's been enough time in between when we stopped and now in order to bring it back and see what you've got for us. Please, just don't ask about Boardwalk Burgers.
So, go ahead! Leave some questions below and I'll compile the best and incorporate them into the upcoming September bonus episodes. Get as hypothetical and creative (the more creative you can, the better) as you want. If you see a different community member has posted the question you were thinking of, please just upvote them! I'll be more likely to choose comments with higher votes. You can leave them a message letting them know that they're a filthy question thief, though! That's totally fine.
