2024-07-01 01:45:12 +0000 UTCJackson, for the love of God purchase a pill cutter. Please stop chewing your pills. Also, please be very careful with some pills as some are not designed to be chewed or cut down as they are slow release pills which means they are multi layered. If you chew one of those you are getting the whole dose immediately which is dangerous. Using a pill cutter will make them smaller to take. Also if you are taking too much water while trying to take down pills that just makes it worse. Pills go in, some water, head back, swallow while bringing your head back down. Start with small pieces and work your way up. I am sure it's psychological for you.

2024-06-29 04:02:14 +0000 UTCBtw Jackson, chewing up painkillers in pill form can be pretty bad for your liver. You’re absorbing the dose faster than you’re meant to. This is especially true if the pill has some kind of coating, because that means it’s supposed to be a slow release. It’ll also usually wear off faster if you absorb the whole dose instantaneously. Just because Dr. House does it with his Vicodin and it looks cool doesn’t mean you should imitate him. Dissolve it under your tongue or shove it up the other end if you have to, but please don’t chew it.

Because of this we often have to treat house fire victims for cyanide exposure, fortunately there is a treatment for cyanide exposure it's an IV drug cocktail of amyl nitrite, sodium nitrite, and sodium thiosulfate followed by vitamin B12 (yes the same B12 that's in energy drinks) and simple high flow oxygen.
