It’s basically real life military and a bonus of alchemy magic. Plus this shows backstory directions are lit, they get progressively hotter

2020-01-11 19:00:38 +0000 UTCGreat reaction Just letting you know it wasn’t just 1 Alchemist against the ishvalans, it was a whole bunch of state Alchemists including all the Alchemists Scar has killed in the show as well as Roy mustang because if you look closely in a scene, it shows him snapping his immense flame explosions at the ishvalans. Literally every state Alchemist was involved in killing ishvalans. So if anything Scar will try to kill roy mustang cos roy killed a lot of Ishvalans too
