Plus the girl hohenheim was holding hands to, is his wife if you pay closer attention. This episode was actually very important in giving us Hohenheims perspective on all the story events since the show started. I mean you did excuse my hero s4 episode 1 which was also a filler ep. I see no reason to give this episode a benefit of doubt lool. The episode was done well where each recap scene tied together with Hohenheim dialogue
