I understand but this wasn't the first time when you so critic about something try to enjoy the show like your brother Chris a little bit beacuse there is a reason why lot of people think this story/anime is "god tier" so don't judge yet and like other people said is gonna pick up soon so be patient a little then.. That's what I meat

Nothing perticularly new going on with their character development. They had some devlopment but it just feels lack lauster for them to be protagnists. Not sure how I feel about it right now. Guess it depends on how it ends

Edward and Al have finding their bodies back as their original goal but now they’re getting the briggs army involved into the plot. That’s a pretty big role if you ask me. The show evolved from finding their bodies to also fixing the corrupt government. Don’t worry, Ed and Al will shine when it matters most

But there are transitions for the segments between plot points which slow down a bit but is necessary regardless. It’s to kind of give a breathing space and set all the chess pieces for the story climax that happens in the end which you will enjoy a lot. That Homunculus was Sloth, they said it on the title cards in the middle
