The importance of the puppet is that later in the manga kara makes use of similar puppets that can fight and guard specific people.

2020-10-13 17:03:06 +0000 UTC1) That Evil Scientist guy was supposed be dead and he was from the Mitsuki Arc EP 71-92, and turns out he is a Kara Outed member rn, basically hired mercenaries, 2) There was a time travel arc with Urashaki Otsutsuki where he used Otsutsuki puppets, and this was one of em left to be retrieved, 3) We are getting very close to some hype shit, and I really like that Boruto is working for his power and figuring out a work around for what he lacks instead of being handed things
