I understand that but aang had to deal with mental and physical damage and still never got shit just handed to them so I understand if the writing fucked it up cuz the time they had but still korra was given energy bending avatar state and this win over vattu

My biggest issue with this episode is that tendon talks about Korra connecting with her own inner spirit. This could have been very powerful if we had seen Korra struggling with her identity vs being the avatar. Honestly, if they had replaced some of the filler scenes and n earlier episodes with some foreshadowing and added some clarification for some things, this could have been a really solid season.

In this episode, and when Amon took her bending. You dont always have to physically struggle to succeed. This season wasn't bad, more like "eh" it was okay, but it had a lot of good things in it. Seasons 3 and 4 are easily the best of the show, so be ready

Also, I'm not entirely sure but I remember Jinora reading about what the tree was(before Vaatu's imprisonment) in Wan Shi Tong's Spirit Library. There is an explanation for Korra being all big and stuff but I can't really say it without spoiling season 3.
