Most of what we remembered was based off memory and not recaps. We rushed to get this reaction out as we realized last minute season 4 just started. I won't ask that you not make valid criticism but chill out. Some comments that be mad rude really kill the vibe and excitement for us to even get back into the show.

I think this 3 minute video from season 3 will clear up a lot of the confusion you guys have about the relationship between eldians and marley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZRmUbtZ8Gw While watching, keep in mind that Grisha (erens dad) and Grisha's dad (the one who's telling the history) are both Eldians and live in an internment zone from marley. That's why Grisha's dad is calling it "the great nation of marley". He doesn't want to be overheard talking smack about marley and get shipped to "paradise"/paradis island, which is where the walls are, and get turned into titans. Also, the episode you just watched is Marley's (the enemy's) perspective 4 years after season 3 ended.

Its just annoying cause half the time theyre not gonna know whats going on and theyre gonna expect us to carry them through the show with all the info. A simple 30 min recap video couldve fixed this

The Eldians in Marley live in internment camps because their ancestors used the titans to defeat Marley and enslave Marley people. After some time war broke up and Marley got control of the titans. The founder titan went to Paradis with Eldians and created the wall and wiped out Eldians memories.

Then there was the 3 years of training in the survey corps plus a few months of season 1-3 This totals 9 years.
