If we talk about the team that lost this episode, well, they didn't take volleyball that seriously, that's why at the beginning, they just kinda knew they were gonna lose and didn't even try their hardest, but then they played for real, got involved in the game, gave the best they could but even after day... they lost and that's why they cried. When you give your 100%, you feel that you did everything you could but it wasn't enough, then it definitely breaks you. You can say, yeah but it's just volleyball, it's just a single match. But when you are going through that moment, in that instant, it is not just volleyball for you.

Even if someone never played sports they should still be able to understand. I never did but I can see why these characters are upset. I would be too. Honestly I don’t think this anime is overly dramatic but oh well 🤷🏼♀️

I'll tell you right now: I've coached highschool basketball, and crying after playing your last game is a very real thing. It's really hard for most kids, it'll be the last time they get to play competitively, and it's the last time with the friends they sometimes played with for years! It's really tough. This is legitimately not even close to overly dramatized.
