They just said in this episode that the einzbern family wish is to perfect the 3rd magic which is heavens feel (the title of the movie series that comes after fate stay night)

In episode 1, they do a big time skip, but Kiritsugu spent 8 years of his life with Irisviel, married her, and had a child with her. He wasn't hired to marry or have a child with her. Also, the second ending song, which you guys probably have seen, shows a bit more of their relationship.
