FATE/ZERO Episode 24 REACTION | The Final Command Spell

Enjoy watching your reaction to Fate Zero, I am a big fan of Fate Series and Typemoon, can't wait for more reaction for Fate/Stay Night (UBW and Heaven's feel movie) and FGO series as well

Base from what I know. Same servant can be summon into any class base on their legend. Let's just say that lancelot can be summon as a saber class during the time when he was still normal and I think the reason he is summon as a berserker is base on the time when he is holding grudge against Arthur and for what he has been through according to his lore. I might get his lore wrong because I read his lore a long time ago.

Just in case it didn't fully click, the grail pretty much was saying that it was going to kill everyone except for Kiritsugu, Irisviel, and their daughter (Illyasviel). This would, technically, fulfill Kiritsugu's wish by ending all wars and bloodshed because the only people alive would be Kiritsugu and his family, but that obviously isn't what Kiritsugu wants. The sub version you guys have didn't make it clear, but Kiritsugu killed the vision of his wife and daughter because he was essentially showing that he would rather throw away the chance of living a happy life with his wife and daughter for the sake of saving six billion people (humanity). Kinda the polar opposite of Eren in AOT at the moment.

The scene with his wife and and child at the end to clarify, was the grail showing kiritsugu an alternative to his wish for world peace by sacrificing the many to save the few. The grail was basically showing kiritsugu that he could wish to be reunited with his wife and kid if he wished for it. However kiritsugu didn't think this was worth it because the price of that wish would've been all of those people he killed throughout the years to get to this point. Basically by wishing for this he and his family would survive and he would get his wish of world peace but at the cost of 6 billion people (that was the worlds population approx when this show was made). All the blood he spilled just to wish for something so selfish would've been disrespectful to those he killed to get this far only to save 2 people. Basically the grail was showing him that the only way to reach his goal was to have everyone but kiritsugu and his family killed at the end. Since kiritsugu always sees things from an idealistic or objective way after shirley this was definitely not worth it to him hence he killed them and rejected the grail.

Angra mainyu is basically the ultimate evil or the devil which is what the grail called kiritsugu. It matches because remember at the end of the episode where Lancer commits suicide he says justice cannot save the world and that even if he has to take on every sin in the world for his wish he will do it. Furthermore, the grail showed him that the only way for his wish of world peace to be realized is to kill the many to save the few which would make him a devil (explanation on why in comment below)That's why kiritsugu is called that

It’s been a great journey watching your reactions to Fate/Zero. Amazing analysis and discussions between you both throughout the whole show. Despite at times being confronted with unanswered questions or confusion you guys did great at holding an understanding of what was given to you on screen. Can’t wait for the finale and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works.
