Dororo was so refreshing to me because the story is interesting without having crazy bells and whistles like a lot of other modern anime. It's not perfect since there's a couple weak eps, but man it's just a "whole package" kind of show for me. It's exactly what I needed after so many bombastic shonens and other quirky anime
